We took the Street Art Tour this afternoon and it was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Ollie, was incredibly knowledgeable and a great speaker. Sooo nice to not have a canned speech, but one where the guide simply knew his info and could just talk to us. Loved it that the organization actually knows and works with many of the artists... Well, in summary: - the artworks selected were nice and in a part of town you wouldn't discover otherwise. - most of the times, though, the tour lacked depth and social perspective. - we were herded from wall to wall, only to hear that the guide "was not sure exactly what the piece meant, but he thought it related to"...... This is a must during a Buenos Aires trip, people. You will walk through neighborhoods you never would have known otherwise; you will see a form of art that is unfortunately not very common in the United States; you will feel like you can grasp just a bit of this big, beautiful city. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour was great. Neighborhoods and buildings transformed by street art. We went to a suburban area of BA, and walked through a neighborhood where there were breathtaking murals on every block.

I had such a great experience with BA Street Art Tours. They were very professional, but also showed us some very unique and inspiring works in two lesser-known areas of Buenos Aires. It was a great way to see other art, besides the ones you always see walking down main streets in BA and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about... More

This was a really enjoyable tour, taking in some lesser known residential parts of the city, that happen to host some great street art. The tour guide's knowledge of the art and the artists behind it was first rate. We got to learn about the history of the city, the political context for the art and the social context for... More

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
