What? Language school in central Buenos Aires. The Good: We did a lot of research beforehand and spoke to friends at different schools & got the impression we had a really good experience, relatively. Very good with emails before we arrived and on numerous other occasions subsequently went above & beyond (eg helping to change money, letting us print documents... More

We have attended Vos Schol for one week during the festival ( Carnaval) and we knew that Moday was off and we would recover the time during the week. In fact Tuesady was a cooking class 8 which actuallt counted on the time, a joke although in itself it was fun) But this ia not a course of Spanish. So... More

I spent a week in group and private classes in July 2014 and I can not say enough good things about Gastón, Maggie, Pancho and the rest of the team at VOS. They really care about the improvement of each student and I was blown away by their treatment of each person as a member of their family. I am... More

I had a great experience taking private classes with VOS Spanish School. I was travelling around in Argentina and had little time to stay in Buenos Aires and they were very helpful with the timing of my private classes that were designed to what I needed to improve in my spanish. The teachers were great and very friendly. I also... More

My daughter (who has studied French in high school) attended VOS Spanish school for four weeks in the summer of 2014 and came out of the course with an EXCELLENT comprehension and speaking ability in Spanish. The staff is excellent and my daughter is still in contact with her instructors to ask about subjects she studies in HS in the... More

The teachers were really patient with us and even would explain Porteño slang. Some teachers lessons stuck more than other for me but I tend to be a one on one learner. I would recommend Vos to anyone in Buenos Aires wanting to learn castellano.

I started with very limited knowledge of spanish but the teachers were wonderful so after the week of classes I learned alot and had confidence to speak some basic spanish. We covered alot in the week.

Attended for 3 weeks, classes are fun and interactive, helped a lot with my spanish. The teachers are very good but they change, you wont always have the same one. Would have liked more immersion activities but there weren't many students while I was there, usually its very busy and you get to really experience the porteno culture.

The title says it all really: I took 4 hour classes which went very quickly because they were actually enjoyable. It was "intense" in the sense that EVERYTHING was in Spanish, which was fantastic, and the three teachers I had during the week were all very easy going, actually encouraging interaction and chatting between students so long as it was... I took a week long "intensive" course at VOS in July 2014. Due to time restrictions I had, I was looking for a 1 week course to refresh my spanish (since I haven't really spoken it in 2 years) and build on the basics that I already know. For the cost of the course, I was disappointed with the structure... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
