Description: My name is Mariela and I will be your personal concierge in Buenos Aires...
My name is Mariela and I will be your personal concierge in Buenos Aires. This project began after traveling all around the world and finding out that the best memories I brought home from my trips were always related to the wonderful experiences my local friends shared with me. I got to know more about each culture, to enjoy their meals with their original flavors and be part, at least for a few days, of each place I visited. That's why I decided to offer a service that allows all the visitors to enjoy Buenos Aires like a porteño!

Mariela accompanied me to an asado at Steaks by Luis. Very enjoyable evening. Though, she was expecting American dollars and that was added at the end of an email- almost as an afterthought. I didn't even see it until I was already in Buenos Aires with no dollars on me. Clearer instructions regarding payment would have been helpful. But, I... More

Others have described the walking tour very accurately so we won't go into detail on that. We took a taxi and met Clemencia at the Recoleta Cemetery. She was pleasant and knowledgeable and with very good English, provided us with interesting information about her city. After doing very similar walking tours in other Sth American, US, Asian & European cities,... More

I cannot say enough good things about Mariela and her very personal concierge and tour services... We spent two weeks in Buenas Aires in March. We hired Mariela/Buenas Aires Concierge to assist us on our first full day in the city, as we were renting a condo in a locals neighborhood. Mariela showed us around the Palermo neighborhood, helped us... More

I did a three hour tour with Mariela on Friday. What a great way to see the city! Mariela is an expert on the city and its attractions. She peppers her commentary with both historical and political background and can answer almost any question. We did a lot of walking combined with a subway ride and covered a lot of... More

I was traveling the very first time to Buenos Aires, on my own. What ever I enjoyed during my 2 weeks stay, I pretty much learned from her. She gave me an introductory itinerary planning session in which I was given all the required information on where to eat and what to do. I personally always intend to refrain from... More

I had a 4 hour tour with clemencia. she was very knowledgeable aobut the sites and tailored the tour to our needs. We went via taxi and walking and was able to see the highlights in 4 hours. I learned quite a bit form her and had a good shopping art shopping in La Boca.

I had Clemencia for my private tour in BA. She was wonderful! We had 5 hours together and she covered all the places I wanted to see and tailored the agenda to my requests. She helped me with my shopping by negotiating a good price with vendors. She was super knowledgeable about BA. I learned quite a bit. And she... More

Mariela took the time to listen to the things I wanted to see and do and then, with her extensive knowledge of the city and passion for it's history and culture, put together a great week of tours and activities for me. Typically, I do not do a lot of planning for a trip, more of a show up and... More

Look no further for a guide in Buenos Aires because MARIELA is by far the BEST Guide we have ever had touring a city. Mariela's knowledge, enthusiasm, personality, and energy level translated into the most enjoyable funfilled day in Buenos Aires. We spent an entire day touring and talking about the cities history, customs, and sites to see. Mariela didn't... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
