We just returned from Buenos Aires after spending a few days there post cruise. Grisel is an amazing guide - her English is excellent and her knowledge of the areas, sights and history made our tour the best that it could be. She and our driver, Frederico, were on time to pick us up and never once did we feel... More

Mara did a fabulous job making our time in Santiago and Buenos Aires an efficient and complete experience. In Santiago, because of our flight arrangements, she was able to split our City Tour over two days and still work in a tour of the Concho y Toro winery. We had a similar great experience with our City Tour of Buenos... More

Even before we left for our trip, I was impressed by the prompt, courteous and helpful responses I received from both Mara and Laura. They answered all my questions and made changes in the proposed itinerary as I requested, such as being dropped off at a tango salon the first day and taking us to the airport with luggage for... We were a party of 6 staying for a few days in BA before our Antarctica cruise. Our 82 year old mother was with us and I needed to make sure all logistics and arrangements were acceptable before I made the booking. Mara was very helpful and cooperative throughout the process. We booked a 2 day 'custom' private tour and... More

Mauricio is fluent in English with solid knowledge of tour attractions on all three cities. He organized the tour effectively, attended to our request on what we like to see, accommodated some impromptu actions when something interesting occurred. We had been to all three cities 5 years ago with somewhat poor impression, he completely changed it and had made this... More

We visited traditional areas of Buenos Aires ( downtown, soccer stadium, etc) but also neat areas like the Boca and areas around the port. Ethel and her driver were punctual, informative, and fun to be with during our tour. Lunch was great and she made sure we arrived at the airport in time for our flight home. I would recommend... After an initial pick up snafu at the cruise terminal we spent a great day with Grisel that was packed with sites and information. We appreciated her knowledge of Argentine history and interwoven politics. There is so much to see in just one day! Grisel customized our tour based on our interests. Her English is very good and she is... More

Grisel took us to the top attractions of Buenos Aires and was very knowledgeable as to its history and all the sights. She was very personable and entertaining. She customized the tour so we saw exactly what we wanted to see and spent the most time at the attractions we were interested in. She took us to a great place... More

We spent 2 days touring with Cultura Cercana Tours right after our cruise from Antarctica. We were group of 8 friends travelling together. First day was city tour with Alexandria. She was really good with lots of sense of humor. Second day we went to Delta Del Tigre with Andres. It was almost a whole day. Everybody enjoyed the river... More

We really enjoy our full day tour in Buenos Aires and it was a lot more than what I expected, South America is very European and there's a lot of history in this city. We saw a lot of detail building which we don't see anymore and we had a really enjoyable cup ice cappuccino. In the future if we... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
