Like many other reviewers my Wife and I avoid city centre guides like the plague mainly because of a particularly poor experience when we last visited Buenos Aires some seven years ago. As we were keen not to make the same mistake again we did our research and were determined to do our own thing and just chill out &... More

We booked a tour with Marcelo for our group of four. He tailored the tour to our interests and let us have input every step of the way to ensure the best experience. He knows all the history of the town, but makes it fun along the way. We booked the full day private tour and it was well-worth it.... More

We found Marcelo through Tripadvisor and were extremely happy with the services he provided us. We met Marcelo for a half of day tour on the day we arrived in BA and we also hired him for a full-day tour later on in our trip. This was the first time I have ever hired a tour guide for a city.... Just to get it on record - I don't use tour guides for cities. I'm a firm believer of research through books, internet, friends. Having said that, there are times you don't have time for research and there are things no amount of research can tell you. And that's what I love about Marcelo (he's also endearing, but that's not... More

We arrived in Buenos Aires and realised that we had underestimated the scale of the city, so decided to try to find a guide to get under the skin of the city. I found Marcelo on Tripadvisor, sent him an e-mail and the next day we met him at our hotel at 10am. The first thing we did was discuss... More

We hired Marcello to guide our family of 2 parents and 3 daughters ( ages 20, 18 and 15) for a 3 day tour of Buenos Aires. Marcello's English is excellent, He is intelligent, organized, flexible, accommodating and also a very nice person! His knowledge of the history and culture of Buenos Aires is amazing and enhanced our trip. He... More

I did two half-days with Marcelo, and another day with the information he provided me for exploring on my own. His pride in his country and city is obvious and has motivated him to learn and to make sure you understand the complex history that has created Buenos Aires. He is also charming and was willing to conduct the tour... More

I have never used a private tour guide before, but I am so glad I did! Marcelo was absolutely fantastic, weaving in history with the current culture. In terms of history, he doesn't bog you down with tons of dates and facts, but instead gives you the most important pieces of information so that you remember it and share it... More

A much delayed, but much deserved glowing review for Marcelo Mansilla.... We had the pleasure of meeting and touring with Marcelo on September 3rd, 2011 for a private half-day tour. We are so very glad that we did. We’ve taken many tours in our travels, (including a few in Buenos Aires) - I think Marcelo was by far the best... More

Highly recommend. Marcelo is an excellent guide, and has tons of knowledge about Buenos Aires and also about Argentinian history. His style is a bit different from other guides, he does not rush so you can see 100 attractions in a day. He prefers to take a little more time, and give you the background, the history, the flavor and... More
