Argentina is famed for its rich and fruity Malbec along with other varietals. But if you can't make it up to the Mendoza wine region, let Mendoza meet you in Buenos Aires! Anuva Wines carefully hand-picks boutique wines from Argentina, such as fruity Malbec, Bonarda and Argentina's flagship white wine, Torrontes. They do daily wine tastings in English, Spanish and Portuguese from their tasting loft in Palermo Soho. Think a glass of malbec accompanied by Spanish chorizo, assorted cheeses and carne empanadas! Tastings are relaxing, personal, and conducted by a friendly and fun Anuva Sommelier. An Anuva Tasting Includes: ● 5 limited production wines from boutique Argentine wineries paired with 5 traditional Argentine Tapas ● A fun, informative chat about the different wines, where they come from and the history of wine in Argentina ● Option to ship your favorites to your home in United States and Australia

Diego was a perfect host and very knowledgable about the wines and food pairings. The wine was good and they poured freely, allowing you to have another taste of any that you like.

Both my husband and I have tasted wines around the world and have a large wine cellar, from basic daily drinking bottles to collectibles. As the host at Anuva mentioned, I completely agree wine preference is subjective. There are though wines generally agreed to be better than others though, and saying repeatedly that wines are all subjective during the Anuva... More

We would highly recommend Anuva Wines if you are traveling to Buenos Aires. Located in the trendy Palermo Soho, this loft is filled with class and character. Diego the sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and gives a hefty pour. The food pairings were delectable. One of the most fun parts was trying the different wines with the different food pairing to... More

Im very glad you enjoyed your tasting with us Sam A. Such kind words! Here is Diego's recipe for the humita if you'd every like to make it! It really is an excellent pairing for a torrontes! http://www.anuvawines.com/tasting-argentina/wine-and-food-pairings-diegos-very-own-humita-recipe-torrontes/ More

Had a nice time at the Anuva Wine tasting during my recent business trip to Buenos Aires. Enjoyed the final wine the most. Only criticism would be to tone down the sales pitch a bit, and make it a bit shorter, since after the 3 hour mark the group was getting a bit restless.

My husband and I loved our experience at Anuva. We don't know too much about wine but we still enjoyed the experience very much. Anuva does a good job of showing you how different types of wines and foods compliment each other in a way that brings out the best flavors. The tapas and wine individually were quite delicious, but... More

Went to the wine tasting and dinner at Anuva at their Palermo location. Enjoyed the wines and little foods, but the soup was cold and the sparkling wine had no bubbles left. Host Diego very tall and funny and knew something about wine.

Hi Yu, Thanks so much for the kind words about your overall tasting experience and your feedback regarding the humit and sparkling. Bubbly should always be bubbly and I apologize if your humita was cold. Thanks so much for alerting us to this. Your feedback is very important to us. Cheers from Argentina and thank you for supporting the boutique... More

Attended a wine tasting here while traveling in BA solo. What a great decision. Met some outstanding people--fellow travelers and Anuva staff. The wines were incredible--better than any Argentine wine I have bought in the U.S. Each was paired with both delicious tapas (one of them our sommelier's personal recipe) and well-informed history of the region, wine making process, and... Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
