Argentina is famed for its rich and fruity Malbec along with other varietals. But if you can't make it up to the Mendoza wine region, let Mendoza meet you in Buenos Aires! Anuva Wines carefully hand-picks boutique wines from Argentina, such as fruity Malbec, Bonarda and Argentina's flagship white wine, Torrontes. They do daily wine tastings in English, Spanish and Portuguese from their tasting loft in Palermo Soho. Think a glass of malbec accompanied by Spanish chorizo, assorted cheeses and carne empanadas! Tastings are relaxing, personal, and conducted by a friendly and fun Anuva Sommelier. An Anuva Tasting Includes: ● 5 limited production wines from boutique Argentine wineries paired with 5 traditional Argentine Tapas ● A fun, informative chat about the different wines, where they come from and the history of wine in Argentina ● Option to ship your favorites to your home in United States and Australia

This was a highlight in our time in B.A. We were unable to make it up to Mendoza, but this was great substitute. We sampled 5 wines: a sparkling, a white, and 3 reds, all of them excellent and all from small, family-owned wineries in the Mendoza area and each accompanied by a delicious, complementary food. Our hostess, Cara, was... More

Last year I went to BA, for fun... And we went to this wonderful taking experience. Fun, education, great wines, with little tapas to add to the experience. I ordered a case of wine to remind me of Argentina once back in NYC. This year I needed to go for work, and I made sure to squeeze in a tasting.... More

Really great way to spend an afternoon. We arrived to the tasting room which is beautifully decorated and greete warmly by our sommelier for the afternoon. the 5 wines we were tasting were written on a blackboard for reference. The selection of wines was great, all from boutique vineyards that the sommelier was very knowledgeable about. Not your average wines... More

We were sadly unable to fit a trip to Mendoza into our Argentina itinerary, but this wine tasting with Anuva Wines was the next best thing during our short stay in Buenos Aires! My husband and I participated in a 5pm tasting with Cara at Anuva's lovely loft in Palermo. It was an intimate setting (only four other people participating... More

Anuva specialises in promoting the wines from small boutique wineries across Argentina and we were not disappointed. The selected wines were well matched with the accompanying Argentine Tapas and expertly and enthusiastically introduced by Cara who clearly enjoys sharing the best of what Argentine viniculture has to offer. The venue, in a Palermo Loft is ideal for small group tastings... More

Our group of 6 had a fabulous time at Anuva. Our hostess, Cara, was amazing! The wines chosen for our group were delicious, and she shared such great history of the wine and answered all our questions. The food pairings were also a lovely treat we all enjoyed. Highly suggest if you'd like to taste wines from small, family wineries... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
