I've been to two wine tastings at JA, and have come away from each with a new appreciation of the wines and people of Argentina. If you're in Palermo-Soho, bring a group of a nice five bottle tasting and then explore the shop for some personal favorites.

If you are lucky as we were, you may experience incredible wine tasting during April Malbec Fest at JA wine shop in Palermo-Soho. You may as well find very friendly and knowledgeable staff including the owner Lo de Joaquin and the great selection of high quality wines. So, If you like wines and you happen to be in BA, this... If you enjoy wine, you will most certainly enjoy Lo de Joaquin Arberdi Vinoteca....why?, great selection of wine, focusing on Argentine wines, the staff was thoroughly knowledgeable and friendly (no attitude here), lastly, their prices were very competitive. Be sure to see if/when they are having their next tasting....not only does one get a great introduction to a particular winery,... More

A very nice store located in Palermo Soho distric. Wide selection of wines with a very knwledgebly owner. Enjoyed 2007 Monteviejo Blend of Malbec grapes and bought one. Safe packing for an overatlantic travel to Istanbul.

Just had a very generous tasting experience with a very lively and fun sommelier. Tasting was 150 pesos per person and we ended up trying 8 different wines and most of them we received multiple pours. We left with a few of our favorites to enjoy on the hotel balcony and we will stop by before heading home to have... More

I love Malbec and Argentina. I wanted to take some wine back home and I found this wonderful wine shop near my hotel. There is a huge selection of wine from Argentina in a very atmospheric shop. The team are friendly and very helpful. They even offered me a glass of wine and we had a long chat about Argentina.... More

We were so touched and humbled by the hospitality shown to us by the staff. They showed us the different wine regions of Argentina on a map, told us about different characters in Argentinian wine making history and took their time walking us through various wines. They were so generous with their time and spent a few hours with us.... More

Joaquin and his team are so friendly and knowledgeable that my husband and I found ourselves visiting the shop a few times during our one week stay in Buenos Aires. The store is located in a great area in Palermo near lots of great shops and restaurants. Joaquin is very connected in the wine world, especially in Argentina, so we... More

We were turned off at the idea of paying $50-100 (US) for a snobby tasting at the high-end places around BA and found this wonderful spot on TripAdvisor. Pablo spent a couple of hours with us, tasting wines and helping us through the shop's exceptional smaller selection of wines. I've done a lot of tasting in Italy and California, and... More
