Wonderful experience with wine tasting in Palermo- I happened to drop by unannounced in Palmero one Saturday just as the Sommelier was finishing a private tasting. The staff could not have been more welcoming and were so giving with their time and knowledge of different Argentinian wine regions, even offering some further recommendations for my stay in Salta. Also had... More

This was one of the best experiences we had in BA. The sommelier was very interesting, charismatic and knowledgeable and did the whole tasting in English because of the mix of people. There was about 10 people in the group who were lovely and friendly and the wines were delicious. They also brought out cheeses, meats and breads towards the... More

His sense of humor is great. We bought a lot of wines, in a good price! :) for those who go to Argentina, I recommend!

Not the cheapest wine store but the best shop To buy fine wines. A very good selection and items one cannot easely find. Sellers know what they are selling.

Lo de Joaquin Alberdi is a nice wine shop in Palermo, B.A. Their focus is on local wines, some of them produced in small batches, which are really hard to find out of Argentina. The best thing is that you can make a tasting, and they will help you find out the wines that work best for your taste. Besides,... More

Great wine store. They do a blind tasting to understand which kind of wine you prefer. Therefore, they can recomend wines similar to your taste and in your price range. Very carefull customer service. They deliver the wine to your hotel very well wrapped to travel.

That's it: best place in Buenos Aires to buy wine I know of. Nice and knowledgeable staff; good stock; always some good bottles in the fridge for you to taste.

Visited in February 2015. Joaquin is the most gracious host. His shop is trendy and fun and right in the middle of it all. We were in Palermo Soho for 8 days, we visited the shop everyday I believe. We had a private dinner and wine tasting one evening, it was absolutely incredible. We also chose some wines to take... More

Very friendly and personable staff are willing (actually excited) to spend time talking and tasting wines with you. We stopped in for a wine tasting which we had seen advertised while walking by. It turned out the tasting wasn't until later that evening, but the staff opened up and held an impromptu tasting just for us!

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
