I was at a loss of where to organise a wine tasting for my group of 12. I wrote to 3 potential providers - all located via tripadvisor. the only company to get back to me was Lo de Joaquin. they were most helpful in liaising with me via email for quite a few months beforehand. When it came to... More

Sure. If you are staying in Buenos Aires and want to taste and buy very good wines your place is "JA". The owner, Joaquim, is very nice. He´ll take you to the best experience in argentinian wines. The only problem is that he refuses to accepr other countries as good wine producers (particularly Chile)!!! Enjoy!

WE had a lovely visit at Lo de Joaquin Alberdi Vinoteca. We were referred by our hotel and found a lovely place, very welcoming with lots of choices. We had a few sampling (with lots of information), excellent explanations. No one was in a rush to get us in and out and no one tried to push products to us.... More

If you travel to Buenos Aires you can`t miss a visit to Lo de Joaquin Alberdi Vinoteca. Definetly the best wine store in Buenos Aires. We had a great experience there provided by the great staff and could know and buy many excellent and special wines from Argentina.

At Lo de Joaquin Alberdi you can get to know wines produced by smaller bodegas in Argentina, part of which won't get to other countries due to limited export amounts. There you can taste wines, give some feedback to the salesmen and they will guide you through the vast Argentinian winemaking experience. Joaquin, Francisco, Daniel and Gastón are highly skilled... I've been to Buenos Aires 3 times and have gone to Ja every time to bring wine back to the states. The guys are incredible, specifically Daniel and Martin. Prices are always fair and the best I have seen. I know this because I have compared and a coworker of mine who went down there also confirmed. Not only are... More

If you are staying in Buenos Aires you must visit Ja! The wine is excellent, the atmosphere is excellent, the staff is excellent and the owner Joaquim is excellent! We had the fortune of a private wine tasting with dinner. Would highly recommend. We sampled wines from all over Argentina.

We stumbled on Ja! the morning of our first day in Buenos Aires and went back that evening to check it out. Amazingly wide selection of domestic wines in several rooms, with a tasting room at the front. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, keen to pour us tasting samples to try and to hear what we thought -... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
