I was trying to setup a wine tasting for a group of students and was put in touch with an associate to find out more details, who said to come in at any time. Upon getting there, I was told that no tastings were possible and they were not sure who could have given the wrong information and implied that... More

We had a good finish to our day trip to Koper by visiting Vinakoper. We planned to stop here before getting our bus back to Trieste, where we were staying. Vinakoper is just on the opposite side of the H5 road to the bus/train station, and can easily be accessed by walking past the bus station and along the shared... More

By any standards this is a large winery etc and restaurant/Sales facility. If you are looking for a quaint out of the way winery this is not it. It is just off of the four lane and often you will have one or more tour buses there. that being said it is still worth the visit.the wine tour is interesting... More

In Vinakoper, biggest wine producer in Koper, they can inform you about all their wines, you can participate the wine tasting and also buy it, of course. In the same building there is a new restaurant, where you can have very good fish or meat dishes.

We were shown around the cellars by a lovely lady speaking perfect English. Fascinating to observe the different casks etc. and after the tour on to tasting. she told us how t recognise a good wine and after a few glasses you feel it! Could have done with some bread or biscuits to go with it. A very well stocked... More

they have great wine, very reasonably priced and are happy to pour all kinds to taste. We stop here whenever we are in the region to stock up on their Refosko dessert wine and various reds & whites. Pick up a small bag of their salt, it's cheaper than many artisan kinds and is delicious.

We were on a cruise excursion from Koper to Piran. On our return to Koper, we stopped by Vinakoper to sample local wines. They have displays showing the local wine making tools and farmers. We were offered pasta with truffles as we sampled a variety of wines that were tasty. Quite a few people on the tour purchased bottles to... More

I have visited Vinakoper many times in the past couple of years. It has a great location off the highway on the drive to Piran or Istria in Croatia. The people are quite nice and the prices are decent. The refosk is a nice change from a typical red wine. The proprietors always give a lot of information about each... More
