We were waiting to look at ferry timetables when Steve approached us, looking for custom. Fair enough, he told us about his excursion and the cost. When we hesitated he pointed to the ferry ticket kiosk and said there were no ferries because "they think it's still spring". There were ferries running to the timetable, from the same pier. We... Certainly a must-do for any visitor to the Olhao area. We departed at 1pm with Steve and his crew, including Nutella, his lovely chocolate Labrador. First stop at Cultura, where you have the option to lunch on the freshest seafood, explore the village, laze on the beach - or all three. We opted for the beach and decided to return... More

The only boat tour operator that worked in late March for which we were grateful. We enjoyed the trip but would have been more informative if the tour guide had spoken better English. He was eager to try and explain things and showing pictures of birds and wildlife but it wasn't much.

Really fun afternoon on the boat with Captain Steve and his dog Nutella. Both were great company. It was a really windy afternoon, but Captain Steve managed to get us across without any pain, the little islands was nice and everything was really relaxed. Steve could tell us all about the different sea creatures we saw. I can recommend it,... More

We enjoyed an interesting and informative day in a lovely old wooden boat, and were helped by a knowledgeable skipper.

It was a fantastic day. Captain Steve looked after us very well when 10 of us chartered him and his boat for the day. Although it was nearly high tide and he could have taken a short cut, we elected to go the long way round to the island of Culatra. On the way Steve explained about the local fishing,... More

Captain Jaime took us on a boat tour. Not the big ornithologist, however an enthousiastic guy with wide knowlegde of the area, its history, culture, nature, the locals, ... He talks with fire and an exotic accent. Seemed to know every person we ran into. We boarded Callutra, interesting place. Got to drive the boat! (in open sea). A see... More

A good afternoon out to an interesting unspoilt community on Cultura island. The fish at lunch really was fresh. Even in February there was plenty of interesting sealife to see. Steve made effort to include everyone in the small mixed party on board. Will definitely be recommending this experience to friends coming with teenage boys later in the year.
