Relaxed and peaceful. Good idea to have arranged tour or taxi trip to allow one to enjoy the wine tasting experience. Driving yourself would not allow you enjoy the beautiful wines on offer!

I did a full day tour out to Stellenbosch and enjoyed it immensely. I made the reservation through the travel desk at my hotel. We visited four beautiful wineries and had lunch at one. The spots were just beautiful and I enjoyed the company in our group from Canada, France and Poland. A lovely day and found some great gifts... More

... this winery and bough a 1980 GONDWANA Pinotage. Now, 30 years later we opened it for a special occasion and discovered it still in a nearly perfect condition ...

Had a fabulous time sampling the wines at Stellenboch. They were so cheap compared to Australia. The history behind it all is fascinating. Worth going again.

Definatly a place to go if you enjoy wines and like to increase your knowledge regarding the same. But check the timings before going as all have diffrent timings for wine tasting.

If you are a fan of good wines this is the area for you . Every trip to South Africa includes a trip to the winelands in Stellenbosch .
