we had a typical tasting, 5 wines for about 30 ZAR, that's ok. You have to serve yourself. When ordering a new glass you will get some explanation. The wines were good and met our taste. Bubbling wines are one speciality of the estate. A special remark: very clean modern restrooms!

We were made so welcome. We had booked lunch and had arrived in time to do a wine tasting. Asked if we perhaps could do a tour and after a little discussion they had organised it. Our guide Itumeleng Mohale was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. We learned so much and had lots of fun. Lunch was amazing and the wine... More

Really enjoyed this as a first wine tasting of a wine filled day. The staff (thank you Simona) were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and the wine itself some of the best we had all day.

We celebrated a milestone 80th birthday in the private restaurant at Simonsig. The maitre d', Dirk, is a treasure of note. He greeted everyone by name, knew their orders and is the most attentive restaurant manager I have ever met. The food was outstanding and obviously the wines have their own reputation. The only down side is having to climb... More

The wine was excellent like for the last 30 years we have been visiting, Maureen, like always, was wonderful and she will definitely be missed when she retires. I found the wine tour very informative, and the tasting pretty good. Our wine tour guide for the day John Hartley from "Go Cape" made the trip worth while. The staff from Simonsig never bothered to come and talk to us and John ran the whole show like he belonged and his knowledge of the wines tasted was amazing and... More
