I found the wine tour very informative, and the tasting pretty good. Our wine tour guide for the day John Hartley from "Go Cape" made the trip worth while. The staff from Simonsig never bothered to come and talk to us and John ran the whole show like he belonged and his knowledge of the wines tasted was amazing and... More

Denzel was outstanding. His passion for wine is evident in the manner in which he introduces one to Simonsig wines. He made excellent recommendations and we will certainly return in future.

Every time we go back, we are happy we did! Year after year, the wines are just great. We love the single vineyard pinotage, but they have so many great wines it is hard to choose just one. The whole experience at Simonsig is just a class act, belying their size as one of the larger wineries in SA.

We were looking forward to visiting this vineyard and found disinterested staff who blatantly ignored us. Not one of the 5 staff members even bothered to welcome us, nor ask if we would like the wine tasting. I would have to be paid to visit them again.

Beautiful vineyard! Setting fab... Enjoyed a long leisurely lunch with wine pairing! Staff fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, we dined on the terrace spending all afternoon at the vineyard. Staff in tasting room excellent, wines and whole experience perfect... Beautiful day!

Simonsig is one of the oldest wine estates in Stellenbosch (there are hundreds today) and one of the estates which founded the wine route 40 years ago. It sued to be one of our favourites 30 years ago, admittedly when there was less choice, but somehow we had not visited for about twenty years. Most was still the same, large... More

We had been told that this winery/vineyard had excellent wines so we really were looking forward to our tour. The farm had a really worn look and feel with all the old farm tools scattered around and presented in a very artful manner. The tasting room was very large but we decided to sit outside on the terrace. Unfortunately, the... More

This person does not know you. I have visited Simonsig on numerous occasions and only received the best service from you. You make us feel special and have always explained every wine in detail and certainly patiently. It is the only wine farm I don't feel like a common wine drinker, but like a real wine connoisseur. Keep it up... More

Beautiful wines, some of the best in the Western Cape! Never had a bad bottle of Simonsig wine-ever! The restaurant is also fantastic with beautifully prepared, very tasty food using good quality ingredients prepared with a local flair. You like great wines and great food then look no further. I will be back again and again :))
