Simonsig is ideal for wine tasting, cellar tour and lunch! Try the Cap classique Cuvee Royale it' s simple heavenly. Also the red wines like Frans Malan blend is a joy on the pelate. The guides are well educated and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed. Lunch at Cuvee restaurant is a gem with exquisite crab dishes or perfect venison.

Simonsig is home to a resturant called cuvée and and section where you can taste wines either at the counter or as part of a conducted tour . There are a wide variety of wines to choose from and many have won both local and international awards . You can also sample the MCC or champaign . The scenery in... More

We settled for a tasting as Cuvée Restaurant was closed for a private function. Not that this was a "second prize" experience at all: expertly presented by wine advisor Alismi - whose knowledge is matched by her obvious passion and friendly charm - each wine impressed more than the previous one! Try the Cuvée and Kaapse Vonkel in the MCC... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Simonsig. Denzel, our very knowledgeable guide for the cellar tour, did really explain a lot about all aspects of winemaking and the history of the place. Very informative and relaxed. The same for our winetasting. Each wine was properly introduced, and we could take our time tasting those beautiful wines. Lunch at Cuvee restaurant... More

Our guide was left to introduce the wines (he did a great job) and it felt as we were just another number in a wholesale wine warehouse. It is a shame as the setting is nice and the wines are very good.

We popped in after already tasting the Kaapse Vonkel (at a local restaurant) for wine tasting. Staff were very friendly, there is a small charge for wine tasting (R25 or 30 from memory) but for this you get to taste 5 wines and keep the glass. Unlike some of the other wine tasting places, you do have to pay for... More

I went to several wine farms around this area. Simonsig was thr worst. You pay a fee and get a glass. You get a price list and must go to a bar and order a taste of wine. No information is given about the wines. I actually felt that I was at a bar with disinterested staff. We had our... More

Goodday Delene! Thank you so much for your feedback, every little bit helps. Unfortunately, this time of year the farm is extremely busy and accommodating all the visitors can be quite a challenge! We would love to impress you, let us know when you can come back for a visit! Kind Regards The Simonsig Team More
