Went for a wine tasting and the layout of the place is fantastic. Old buildings, a lake with lots of seating space around it and a more formal patio. Wine tasting was great with really experienced staff who talked you through. Would loved to have stayed longer and will next time.

I took two friends here whilst I was the designated driver. We were pressed for time on sunday afternoon. So Lawrence said no problem, he will pour all 6 wines simultaneously in six glasses side by side. We got the background information quickly and efficiently. While my friends were tasting I enjoyed one of the best coffees in the winelands... More

a beautiful place at a small lake where you can picknic in the grass under an umbrella lounching in the soft cushens. Als the wine tasting is an experience. Warwick housed the first female winemakers in the Cape and the ladies that host the tasting are great storytellers and make you feel very comfortable! We two Dutch ladies loved it... More

Warwick seems to generate some of the best reviews for serviced picnics and for this reason we chose to spend a Saturday afternoon there. The setting is lovely, service is warm and friendly - and offers just the right amount of attentiveness in a picnic setting. The food is termed "gourmet" though I think that perhaps pushes it a bit... More

Had a very nice tasting with Vanessa and enjoyed a delicious cheese & charcuterie platter to go with it. Nice little touch with the story about Princess Kunigunde and drinking from the sharing cup.

I was greatly impressed by the beautiful landscape surrounding the wine estate. We had a nice lunch picnic and got useful insights into the wine produced there by a lively, chatty tasting guide, who told us about the history of the winery and explained the smells and tastes of each wine. I especially liked the 'Three Cape Ladies' pinotage blend

We stumbled upon this wine farm between stellenbosch and butterfly world and thought a picnic on a wine farm sounded romantic. When we arrived we received a very warm welcome and our host went carefully through the menu with us to discuss what I could have as I am pregnant. They have tailored almost every dish to be acceptable to... More

An excellent and inexpensive attraction in South Africa's Winelands can be found at Warwick Estate. Tasting guides assist you in sampling about 5 wines. Our guide, Yolanda, was brilliant. What a pleasant, smiley girl to put us in the mood! We returned the next day for the Gourmet Picnic. Yolanda remembered us and had set out a table and cushions... More
