Felt the fondue was overpriced. Had to share a small bowl of vegetables and a mountain of bread. The whole afternoon cried let's make as much profit as we can.

Wine is good like always. Cheese fondue is very rich and decadent. Restaurant and cellar was full so service was a bit slow. Nice for spending time with friends in relaxing atmosphere. Br sure to like rich cheese if you book the fondue.

One of the most beautiful places we visited while we were in South Africa for a month. They have amazing wine and a great place to eat! It sits right in the foot hills of Simonsberg which is the arguably one of the most beautiful places in the western cape but most definitely in Stellenbosch. Out of the Wineries i... More

Even though their tagline reads 'Worth the Journey' Delheim is not too isolated, although once you're ensconced in it's intimate valley it may seem so. No imposing edifices at this estate. More of a rural feel. An assortment of face brick buildings greets you on arrival. These contain the wine cellars, gift shop and restaurant. The tasting room is old... More

Delheim has some really knowledgeable staff who make the wine-tasting experience a really good one. The wines themselves are very good, and the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2009 deserves a very special mention. Unfortunately we were too late to eat at the restaurant, but the cheese platter more than made up for it. We will definitely be back to eat at... More

Not only is this a great place to learn about the wine making process in beautiful surroundings but it also offers you the chance to taste some lovely wines. The restaurant is also a must!

We loved this place and were lucky - as novices - that we chose it as our sole winery. Extremely knowledgeable staff gave us an unscheduled and impressive cellar tour late in the day (best to go at set tour times). Heard the restaurant was great - the setting certainly was. Nestled at the end of a little winding road... More

We did both the wine tasting and the lunch there and we were not disappointed at all. The service fast fast, frienldy and efficient, the food arrived in good time and was very tasteful and we dicovered the Pinotage Rose a wine that will surely be bought back in Germany again. A nice time, even if it was a bit... More

We have been having lunch at various wine estates over the years and for consistency , good value and excellent food you just cannot beat the Delheim Restaurant. As it was an extremely hot day I settled for the smoked chicken salad and my wife the snoek (fish) cakes. Both were delicious and ample .Paired with a cold bottle of... More

Delheim was highly recommended by friends in Cape Town as an "authentic" older vineyard and a good place for lunch. Although we didn't have lunch we can highly recommend the cellar tour and the tasting. In particular, they have some great Shiraz and can ship to some states in the US as well as many European countries. Friendly staff, lovely... More
