Old buildings well maintained, beautifully lit at night. Great buzz with all the young students around.

I've come to the own created conclusion that the older part of Stellenbosch town is all university. Most of the buildings are part of the university, whether being campuses, living quarters or activity centers. All the buildings are equally well kept and range from modern to the old ones that are so pleasing to the eye. It is lovely to... More

This is a visually pleasing hotel set in an old world village. The first church built in SA was there and you can see the 300 year old foundations. At the Uni I saw a Norfolk Island Pine planted in 1828 which is the largest of that kind I have seen.

Stellenbosch is a leafy university town between beautiful mountains, just an hour from Cape Town International Airport. Some of the buildings, i.e. the conservatory, dates back to the early 20th century. There is an amphitheatre, and the library is mostly underground, with beautiful terraces. The old library, named after Carnegie (from the USA), is an administrative building. The people are... More

I have the privilege of being enrolled at this amazing institute. It is truly integrated into the town itself. It is a friendly place. Student oriented and has the best facilities among all top universities. It is also currently the top university on the country. Beautiful historic buildings.

I have passed through this town many times on my way to and from the Cape. On most occasions I have been blessed with lovely weather and it is a real pleasure to drive through the university precincts. This is an Afrikaans speaking University so English is the second language. I am friends with an art lecturer who being the... More

We have 2 students studying at Stellenbosch University over the last 5 years so we get to spend a fair amount of time in and around Stellenbosch. We love it there - such beautiful architecture and steeped in history. We love meeting the students for lunch and mingling with them. It's so wonderful that the students can walk around the... More
