So, I must confess I didn't make it to the town hall! But the cute streets that surround it, have totally made me want to go back to Stellenbosch. There is a laid back friendly atmosphere, with delicious treats around every corner. From beer halls, to wine bars, bistros and very fancy dinning, Stellies has a lovely feel. Made we... More

The title says it all. A must see! Didn't dislike anything about this lovely building. Reviews must be fifty characters, tripadvisor? It was lovely. OK?

Another feature of this wonderful wine town on one of the main streets. The town hall sets the scene for other buildings down these pretty streets, only 40 minutes north of Cape Town.

On the way to the winelands area of South Africa, we stopped by the city of Stellenbosch where there is a famous university (Stellenbosch University), a good square, and a small museum. what intrigued us most is the large number of buildings and structures which display Dutch architecture and styles. The churches displayed styles which are unmistakingly Dutch. Stellenbosch is a... More

It is conveniently situated in the middle of the town. Beautiful architecture, but the acoustics are not good at all. One has to remember, though, that it was built in a bygone era, in Africa. The library is housed in an adjacent building that forms part of the Town Hall.

Stellenbosch town hall is old, but very well maintained and situated very centrally to the town. A must see, with pretty art works place outside.

Needs a paint job inside. Rather visit the theological faculty up in dorp street. That is the most beautiful building in town!

Just a building like so many other buildings. We did not find anything interesting to look at. Well part of Stellenbosch character.
