Nice and modern, really good wine!!!

I came here for the wine tasting twice. It is a rather modern building with a beautiful glass front so that you have a very nice view. The wine is really good and the staff super... read more

The setting for Tokara is very nice, as is the contemporary building it is housed in. And the tasting was free so no complaints, but it wasn't the best wine we had in the region. The staff was very welcoming, so certainly worth stopping by if you have the time.

We have been pleasantly surprised with Tokara at the top of Helshoogte in Stellenbosch. The wine tasting was awesome and the views from the tasting room unsurpassed! Unfortunately for us the restaurant was closed, but will be back for it next time. Something off beat that caught my eye was the excellent outdoor art works at Tokara - not only... More

Had an amazing lunch at Tokara. Chef Richard Carstens at his best in his newly refurbed restaurant. Perched high up on a hill over looking the vineyards ...so beautiful. The Tokara rose wine was also light and delicious for a lunch drink.

Wow, totally amazing. Spectacular views, awesome art pieces and a lovely delicatessen too. Wines are amazing. This is a must to visit. Staff were very polite. Vineyards are well manicured, paradise indeed!

Tokara is surely the King of the wine region restaurants. The extraordinarily talented chef produces wonderful food with Asian meeting Europe in perfect harmony. The trout and baked Alaska starter is one of the most exceptional dishes I have eve had but it was by no means a lone wolf.My wife had a perfectly balanced collection of fish starters and impeccably... Forget Delaire over the road Tokara is a great rival establishment. The ROE return on ego for the owners must be substantial The chef is clearly very talented To add to the fun we ca,e and went by helicopter!

Great place for wine tasting I stellenboch. Eugene was great in guiding us through the different wines and gave us recommendation for our taste. My only complain was that it was a very loud environment and there were basically no proper tables / chairs to sit.

Surrounded by art, views and beautiful décor, one can sample some well know and awarded wines. Absolutely worth the drive to visit this gem. Ideal for those who love beauty.
