Situated on the slopes below the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of South Africa's most famous wine region Stellenbosch. Our vineyards are commonly referred to as the Home of Chenin Blanc, and we have numerous awards and accolades for chenin as well as some of the finest Rhone Blends in the country. Come and meet the dogs, horses, geese and ducks as you relax under the shade of the oak trees with amazing views and wonderful wines. The tasting room is open 6 days a week and lunches and dinners are available at 96 Winery Road. Restaurant almost next to the vineyards, frequently rated as the best restaurant in Stellenbosch Ken's philosophy has always been to create a range of handcrafted wines that compliment a wide variety of food styles and provide excellent value. Do come and enjoy some traditional warm South African hospitality with us.

We had heard ken was the king of Chenin blanc etc etc... Obviously he employ's a great marketing team. We were a group of 10, from all parts of the globe, we all enjoy the finer things in life, we call ourselves the supreme beings of leisure.. It was the first wine farm we've visited were not one of us... More

We had an appointment for early morning, at Ken Forrester, for a tasting, which turned into a whole morning! We started with the newly packaged bubbly and didn't stop until we had sampled our way through a lovely cheese and other produce board and all the cultivars. Left loaded with wine, pears on wine, etc.

This was our last stop on a day long Wine Tour & we enjoyed a leisurely tasting in the shade. Our taste guide was knowledgeable & it was fun amongst ourselves to "disagree" about our favourites, especially when less expensive wines proved more popular than their dearer ones

We spent a pleasant hour or so sampling 6 of the wines along with a cheese board for lunch. The gardens are shaded which was a blessing from the hot summer sun. The service was great and helped create a very relaxed and special way to spend our holiday. We bought a few bottles of the Petit range which were... More

Wines are fantastic, but stay away from 69 Winery Road - service is non-existent and food is mediocre at best.

I had the pleasure of attending a wine tasting at Ken Forrester wines, I have to admit that Inspite of having visited most of the other wine farms in the area I had not had the pleasure to visit this one. Big mistake! Should have gone there a long time ago! What a pleasant surprise it was to find such... More

If you're looking to try a different South African wine, look no further than Ken Forrester's wines. They are very reasonably priced for an excellent product. Having been privileged enough to meet Ken, his warm friendly hospitality and passion for his wines make this choice even sweeter.

We set off on Saturday after lunch to find a winery offering cheese and wine. We didn't realise that so few farms would be open on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily Ken Forrester was still open. On arrival we were greeted warmly and explained all the different options for a tasting. Besides the great wines, the cheese platter is really worth... More

From the moment you drive into this winery you just know its a special place. I've heard about the great chenin blanc and just had to taste. The lady that served the wine was friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for her. I was first given the 3 chenin blancs to compare. They were all good. I ended up... More
