This was a great walking tour through Stellenbosch. It successfully marries the history of Stellenbosch with introductions to local vineyards/wine producers and South African cuisine. Simone was a wonderful guide with a friendly and informative approach. The four hour tour flew by and was highly enjoyable - I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Stellenbosch.

This was a great few hours spent in the company of Hanli our guide. She showed us a potted history of Stellenbosch interspersed with wine tasting and food. We visited a local butcher to buy biltong and sausage, then a local baker to buy bread. Once that was done we visited a cellar door and tried some wine to go... More

What a super idea for learning about all the different facets of Stellenbosch. Simone was excellent - very friendly and knowledgable and provided great food and wine along the way. We enjoyed Anita from Morgenhof with their great wines and lunch and desserts were really delicious.

We had an amazing time sampling South African delicacies together with obtaining information of the architecture of Stellenbosch and how the town began. Hanli took us on a walking tour around the town of Stellenbosch stopping along the way at a wine bar sampling 3 different wines, then onto the oldest butcher to sample biltong, then we walked to one... The tour was very informative. A nice walk in the old city of Stellenbosch, stories about historical buildings, vsiting food shops, tasting wine and food and of course a very good lunch. It is worth every penny/rand.

A walk through Stellenbosch with Simone was a very pleasant and informative outing. During our visits of many historical sites we enjoyed some authentic tasteful bites and all the backgrounds of this clearly explained with lots of enthusiasm. A throughout enjoyable outing when you are planning to visit this charming town.

We managed to catch Hanli for a last-minute mini tour, and it was fantastic! Hanli is super knowledgeable, and even though we didn't have much time, she shared tons of information about Stellenbosch, took us to the main sites (food and non-food), and of course had us taste many traditional South African foods. The tour completely rounded out our day... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this combination walking tour, wine and tea tasting, and luncheon which features highlights of Stellenbosch. Simone is delightful and full of interesting information. Our tasty lunch at Oude Werf included local specialties like Bobotie and yellow rice, and the tea tasting included the indigenous Rooibos and Honeybush plus a delicious dessert platter. Go hungry!
