Wow. What a morning. We had a Sunday morning tour which included both a leisurely walk around Stellenbosch with the wonderful Hanli, and then a Kayamandi township tour with the phenomenal Thembi. What I liked most about this experience was you really get to see both sides of Stellenbosch, which was welcome after only having seen stunning vineyards for a... More

We spent a wonderful morning with Hanli on the Cape Cuisine walk and had such a great time! Hanli told and showed us so many interesting things about Stellenbosch. The food tastings as well as the drinks were great! Lovely tour :-)

My husband and I did a Foodies on Foot tour with Hanli, and we wish we had done it earlier in our trip. Hanli opened our eyes to all of the things that we should have been munching on, all the architectural details we wish we'd seen sooner, and many restaurants we wanted to visit. A couple highlights: trying the... More

What a fun way to visit such a charm filled place as Stellenbosch. Our guide, Hanli Fourie eas very pleasant and well informed. We tasted, ate and drank our way aroind some of the best secrets of town. If you like food and wine and dont mind a bit of knowledge on the way,go for it, it's well worth it

An absolutely delightful and delicious way to experience Stellenbosch. We visited places I would not have found by myself.

After a very warm welcome by Hanli Fourie she showed us Stellenbosch. She is a very enthousiastic and accesable guide. Knows a lot and makes one feel at home and at ease right away. For Hanli the guest is king.

We had a most informative walkabout experiencing the sites as well as artisan delights around Stellenbosch. We saw things that my hubby had never visited and he was raised in Stellenbosch. A definite must, a well spent 3 hours enjoying biltong, coffee, chocolate, rooibos tea, ice cream and a wonderful lunch to boot !!

We spent an amazing day with Hanli and Latiefa ---cooking, eating and learning the history of Stellenbosch and the cape Malay food traditions. It was a wonderful introduction to the area- and a great way to combine history, culture and great food we can recreate at home! If we had more time we would have joined a bites and sites... More

We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your Cape Malay cooking class and the short historic walk (while the roti dough rested). It was great fun for us, too! Thank you for taking time out of your holiday to write the review. We hope you enjoy recreating the flavoursome recipes at home! More

My friends and I spent a great day doing a Malay Cooking course with Hanli and Latiefa at The Demo Kitchen in Stellenbosch. We were all given tasks in the food preparation so it was fun and very hands -on rather than a just a demonstration! Despite all our fun and laughter we made delicious Malay chicken curry and sambals.... More

My friends and I (three couples) went on the "Foodies on Foot" tour with Bites and Sites on our first day in Stellenbosch. Simone was our tour guide, and she expertly guided us through a fun morning of tasting food and wine from several wonderful and unique local vendors. We are still talking about the biltong we tried! If Simone turned you into biltong converts, we have succeeded in our cultural immersion task! That put a smile on our faces, thank you for the enthusiastic review. Next time you can join us on a Kayamandi township tour or Cape Malay cooking class if you feel like doing something different in Stellenbosch. More
