Before our recent trip to South Africa I found on the Internet that the Delft Big Band were playing at the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre on Valentine'night and bought tickets via Internet. Well what a great night! The amphitheatre is relatively intimate. We were on the back row which was only about 10 rows back so had a great view. The... More

Last night a big group of us went to see Emo Adams at Oude Libertas in Stellenbosch. The Oude Libertas is a great venue and if you’ve never been you should seriously consider going! Every year they offer a summer programme with a huge variety of acts, ranging from classical music to more popular, modern music and we always try... More

The summer program is diverse with great performances. The setting is intimate and the seats comfortable. You may have a picnic on the grass before the show and have your own drinks during the show although wine is for sale at reasonable prices.

The chrismas carols have been a wonderful night for years. Excellent chorus and good solists. And a very entertaining moderator.

This is a very unique market experience with superb foods both outside and also inside the building. There is a large variety to choose from as far as food is concerned. The craft section is very different from the usual markets with an abundance of unusual stalls marketing a variety of goods. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly people and an awesome... More

You can bring your own wine and food and have a picnic before the show on the green lawns above the theatre. Informal setting, but many great performances are being hosted here.

What an amazing experience. The food, clothing, bric a brac at this slow market is fantastic. Worth a visit on a Saturday morning. Atmosphere simply wonderful.

We have lived around the corner for 5 years, but had never attended a performance. We went to the Christmas Carols in December, what a magical evening. Would recommend it to anyone. The setting is stunning, the vibe awesome and the performance so interactive.
