This is a very unique market experience with superb foods both outside and also inside the building. There is a large variety to choose from as far as food is concerned. The craft section is very different from the usual markets with an abundance of unusual stalls marketing a variety of goods. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly people and an awesome... More

You can bring your own wine and food and have a picnic before the show on the green lawns above the theatre. Informal setting, but many great performances are being hosted here.

We have lived around the corner for 5 years, but had never attended a performance. We went to the Christmas Carols in December, what a magical evening. Would recommend it to anyone. The setting is stunning, the vibe awesome and the performance so interactive.

'Oude Libertas' market Is for me simply the best ! The atmosphere is fabulous, so relaxing. The array of food on offer is delicious. From arts & crafts, clothing, champagne & oysters, sushi & foods to sample from around the world. It's a real party atmosphere. Go early and have breakfast. You won't be dissapointed !!!

We visited Oude Libertas Amphitheatre for one of their summer sunday night concerts and saw Sipho Mabuse. We had a fantastic night and next time we're back in cape town would certainly visit again for one of their events.

Not the metropolitan opera, but quality musicians in a lovely setting. They have a varied program here and it is definitely worth spending an evening while in Stellenbosch

We went to Oude Libertas for the New Year's Eve picnic and concert. Initially picnicking on the lawn, we then went on into the theatre. The performance of the band was very enjoyable and we had a great time. We also liked that patrons were given a free glass of sparkling wine at midnight and that everyone toasted with each... More

Very Good Food & Craft Market on Saturdays, with a variety of wines available. Visited the Somerset West Craft market first and then went to Oude Libertas for lunch. If you are in the area it is great fun and good value.
