We went for the brandy tasting which was amazing. Simon the guide was informative without being in your face and then left us to get on with the serious business of tasting. Well worth a visit if only to take a break from the wine! More

Most people who visit Stellenbosch do the Wine Route - few consider the only brandy distillery, Van Ryn's, conveniently situated right next to the R310 travelling to Stellenbosch from the N2. Overall an excellent experience. They demonstrate on the tour how they make a wine barrel by hand which was informative. We also had the cheese and cold meat platter which you will struggle to find better value for money! Highly recommend. More
