A gem in the Stellenbosch

It was a delight to visit this small but beautifully displayed museum filled with art work by some of South Africa's most important artists.

If you're near by, it's worth a visit. The art was varied and interesting. Most was of a very high standard and quality. The garden is nice too. Worth a 1 hour visit. Contrary to some other reviews, there's no car collection here (for that, visit Franschhoek Motor Museum).

I LOVED every minute of my visit to this beautiful gallery! The guard in the parking area is very friendly and asks you if you've been to the gallery before, before handing you a pamphlet with the necessary info. And the attendant at the door (where you pay the entry fee), was also very helpful - he made excellent suggestions... More
