I visited a while ago when ignorant about South Africa's canned hunting industry. In retrospect Cango's charging you money to pet weeks old tiger and cheetah cubs rises a lot of red flags. I am not sure if they actually have ties with this industry but these activities are highly suspicious. Do your research before you go.

We stopped at Cango Wildlife Ranch after 5 days on safari. The hour tour was informative and our guide was engaging. However the real reason we stopped was to pet a cheetah. Cool new experience.

This is just one of those must see places when in Oudtshoorn! We had an EXCELLENT guide by the name of Ed. He was very well spoken, knowledgeable and extremely passionate about his job and aboit animal conservation in particular. Although we started the tour quite late and met up with one tour already in progress, Ed personally took my... More

This was an amazing experience to actually stroke the cheetahs! Though they were very amenable, at the end of the day they are wild animals with animal instincts so we were given strict instructions never to touch their mouths or tails, just stroke the back of their heads and backs...which they loved, if their deep purring was anything to go... Interesting animals such as the white lion and tigers, you can play with the cubs if you have some extra cash. Wonderful place for a family.
