Lots of fun and unexpected sensations... ostrich neck massage, ostrich ride and standing on eggs... A must!
The Cango Ostrich Farm is less a farm and more a mini-zoo. Our guide checked all the boxes: shared ostrich factoids (did you know it only has two toes?), recited scripted jokes and guided the ostriches to give us neck massages and all. I thought it lacked a little zest, but that may have to do with the fact that... More
The tour is the 'shorter version' informative enogh without the boring detail the average tourist are not interested in and yes, fun. Had a good light meal
We could feed, hug and even ride the ostriches, it's all included in the entrance fee. I really enjoyed this close encounter, it's fascinating!
Situated very handily en route to the Cango Caves, this Ostrich Show Farm may at first seem very touristy but it serves a really good purpose in that visitors get the type of interaction they crave without too much stress on the birds. I was with a mixed group and the folks got to touch and get up close and... More
Fun and informative I assume all Ostrich tours and farms are pretty much the same, but we and the kids had a blast on this one. The kids Ooh and Aah at all the facts and chances to interact with the ostriches, emus and dwarf ostriches on show, they fed them, rode them and got kissed by them…all boxes ticked... More
We went with a tour guide to the farm and then did the guided tour by the farms guides, we had an amazing short coloured lady do our tour, she was very cute and funny , we got to touch the ostriches , got hugs and massages from them ! Was amazing !!!! Some of us even got to ride.... More
Very disappointing as we thought that this was a genuine ostrich farm, too late we realised that this was purely a tourist show facility and that very few birds were actually kept on the 'farm'. The guide in his introduction insisted that the male ostrich changed sex and laid the eggs, only later admitted that he had been joking! The... More
We had a great visit. The guide was very informative and also made allot of jokes. We rode the ostrich, got an ostrich hug and an ostrich neck massage all from ostriches :-) We also stood on ostrich eggs, we were warned if you brake a rotten ostrich egg your feet will stink for weeks. It was a great day.
I have been on the back of a horse, camel, elephant, turtle, and now ostrich. The farm is situated on the famous Garden Route and should not be overlooked. You will have a chance to learn about this giant birds, feed them, try an omelet, prepared in the farm's restaurant and f you dare - try to ride an ostrich. Unforgettable... More
