Sadly we only stayed one night. This is more like a small boutique hotel. Our room was I believe recently constructed and was beautiful. The best we had in South Africa with luxurious bathroom although just with shower - no bath. Lovely grounds to lie out in with sunloungers, umbrellas/gazebos for shade and great views of the mountains. We had... More

I have stayed at De Zeekoe Farm for three years in a row. I strongly recommend the bungalows located along the ponds. They are very well appointed and have a kitchen. Impeccably clean, rustic, and very comfortable. Dinner is served in an elegant room with beautiful views of the countryside. Do not miss the meerkats. Since the number of guests... More

A number positives but outweighed by the negatives. Nice property with lovely grounds but based at the edge of nature reserve be prepared for the flies & insects as well as the bites. Wireless connection almost impossible. On the food front, we have been spoiled with excellent meal after meal during our holiday but we came down to earth with... More

Very good room and service. Dinner was excellent, having the ostrich fillet and cooked to perfection. Easy enough to find if driving and close to other activities. It is a working farm and some of the machinery starts very early, OK if you are going to see the meerkats at 5am. A little perfunctory but well worth the visit. The... More

I travelled to Oudtshoorn to photograph meerkats and was recommended De Zeekoe by some colleagues. I must say that this is quite simply one of the best establishments i have come across in a long time. The rooms and communal areas were immaculate, the staff enchanting and very helpful, the cocktails most delicious and the food equally so. De Zeekoe... More

If you want to feel free and relax, this is the place to be, so much beauty we haven't seen in such a long time. The place is just one word 'AMAZING" The rooms and the cabins are luxurious and comfortable, not to speak about the food served, we had breakfast as well as supper in such a peaceful environment,... Stayed here one night. The farm is pretty isolated, and there is a lot of open land around, which is beautiful and perfect for sunset viewing (reminds me a lot of some Thomas Kinkade paintings). Make sure to explore around to find the best spots for picture taking, as there are a lot. I ordered ostrich for dinner, and it... More

We stayed for 2nights in February as part if a bigger tour at the farm. Our accommodation was a log cabin which is 1k from the main farm building. So peaceful, lovely location. The only noise you hear is the birds on the roof and your outlook is over the lake. The cabins are equipped with kitchen area with a... More
