Often Overlooked from what we've heard, and we highly recommend taking the short drive off of the N2 to see it. Beautiful beach with lovely views

This beach is very easily accessible, especially for those who are averse to steep climbs. The beach is very clean and there is a restaurant which is very reasonable and serves good food.

Very Pretty and not a commercialised beach. I do think in Holiday periods can be overrun with local holiday makers - Out of Season Quite and relaxing

this is a lovely bay and one can park near the beach and enjoy a walk with firm sand and view the ocean crashing against the rocks. this is a lovely spot but found town at end of beach disappointing.

We had a great 2 hr walk along this fabulous beach and a fantastic swim in the ocean waves. Good free parking close to beach.

Knownas Buffels bay, this is a short drive out of Knysna and is great for sunbathing, swimming and surfing. There is a cafe there but it's a tad run down. You can walk or run right around to Brenton on Sea if you want to.

On recommendation from our guest house in Knysna we walked from Brenton-on-Sea to Buffalo (Buffels) Bay. Magnificent scenery, a practically deserted clean sandy beach, lots of sea birds, between them the rare black African Oyster Catcher. And at the finish a good-enough cafeteria for a lunch (we had got very hungry!), a safe swimming beach with lifeguards, and a little... More

Beautiful natural surroundings but heavily populated with poorly designed holiday homes. And only one average looking restaurant - we turned around and headed out of there as fast as we could!

Spent a lazy afternoon at Buffalo Bay - there is a little shop that will supply all those things on your "stuff we forgot to bring" list (sunscreen, hat, beach toys for the kids, etc.) and a cosy, affordable restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay and a long stretch of beach to stroll along. The bathing area is... More

A lovely beach and you can walk to Brenton on Sea. Restaurant available, average food, but in a great spot looking out over the beach to the sea.
