Lovely sea breezes with excellent walk ways and choice of restaurants nearby. Possible to take boat trips to the heads but no swimming allowed, very dangerous currents.

On good day there is nothing better than to drive up to the Heads, pick your position/bench and just sit and watch the waves crash over the rocks. The sea is so many beautiful colours and you feel at one with nature there. There are quite a few viewpoints so you get different angles down to the beaches and rocks... More

Yes Knysna itself is quite pretty and, in parts, interesting, but it is mostly another shopping opportunity. The real beauty of the place is the lagoon and particularly the Heads. The drive out (to the Eastern Head) is lovely alongside the lagoon and with different views of the sea and hills. Following the road up the hill there are expensive... More

It's a lovely drive out to the heads, you go past the lagoon, past Thyssen Island wHich is full,of new developments of fancy apartments. Then up a hillside covered with lovely properties clinging to the cliffs. Beautiful gardens, plants overhanging the road, really lovely. When you get to the parking at the top it's a short walk to the viewpoint... More

Lovely place to visit for a short stroll, there are 2 x cafes/restaurants and plenty of parking. The path across the Heads on the east side can be quite challenging but well worth the effort.

This is a must see if you are in the area. Soak in the spectacular scenery, or sit at one of the restaurants at its foot and watch the surf crash on the rocks. The views are breath taking and the walk to the view sites along the top of the cliffs is well worth doing.

This was also a great restaurant, with fantastic food, and a great view, the staff were very friendly, a little slow, but worth the wait.

We broke up a journey from tsitsikama to wilderness with a stop here! Because I have stayed on these heads as a kid, I wanted reminisce by going out here! ;) Great views down on the waters below, from the top view points! Contrast between the sea and the lagoon! Very pretty! Safe parking watched by a cool chilled rasta,... More
