Standing or sitting on the East Head you can watch the birds soar the thermals where the ocean meets the waters of the glorious Knysna Lagoon. The peace and natural beauty of this landmark will encourage you to take deep breathes of joy and restore your equanimity! One of my favourite spots in the lovely Garden Route where I return... More

Visited the Knysna Heads on the John Benn. Good experience and wonderful views. There are a number of boats that can be booked at the waterfront from slow cruisers to high speed boats. Great fun

Our first view of the Heads was by boat, aboard the inflatable RIB boat of Garden Route Boat Adventures, quite an experience seeing it from that side, majestic! Then we drove there to have breakfast at the East Heads Café and enjoyed the sun's rays slowly coming up to light up the heads. You can also walk even closer on... More

A comfy boat ride takes you to a tranquil lagoon on the other end with breathtaking views on both the sides and cool breeze on a clear day. Picturesque and worth going.

We were lucky the weather was good, but the drive to the heads was well worth it for the views. We got there near sundown and saw the sun setting and the wonderful colours spread across the lagoon.

Stunning Views breath taking beautiful. Two great restaurants at the heads overlooking the heads, Knysna and Leisure Isle. Great place to meet friends, relax and drink a bottle of wine which is what we did. Also fab to spend a night out and chill.

Fantastic views out to sea, and of Knysna itself. A gentle walk if you like, along a brick path, and different platforms strategically set out to enjoy the view from different angles.

A beautiful entrance to the lagoon and estuary, and a wild place in the winter winds and wet weather, yet so beautiful!

Take the side road up to the top for an incredible view of the "Heads". An awesome site - a natural wonder that you won't want to miss! You will be amazed at the power of the ocean waters and the rocks and caves below!
