Knysna heads are amazing. Their history and peril to ordinary ships has probably helped keep this area serene and untouched. It is a short walk from the parking area with stunning views. We loved it and immediately decided to take a boat tour to see it from the ocean side. If you are in Knysna you must go and see... More

As far as amazing views go, this one is very high up there. Considering it is free and only a short drive from Knysna town centre, I would definitely suggest this as a short morning/afternoon trip. If you feel like taking the view in for a little longer, I suggest East Heads Cafe. Their food can be pricey for a... More

The natural beauty of the Heads is truly one of the most spectacular sights around Knysna. The dramatic cliffs frame the river's access to the ocean and offers nature lovers many opportunities to walk and take in the ocean from a great height. The area offers numerous trails for the adventurous, opportunities to take a small boat through the mouth... More

We made the boattrip through the lagune. In the boattour there is walk and an lunch included. Lunch was good but average. You don't need to walk up the mountain. Only down. Everthing takes you about a half a day. A little bit toeristic.

Yes, the view is nice, but that's about it. I wouldn't feel i have missed something if we didn't see them

Took a boat trip to the heads from the marina across the lagoon. Really something different. Nice placid water and the waves crashing on the heads. Really good photo opportunity!

There's the East Head and the West Head which is confusing if you're facing the sea because they respectively stand left and right. The East Head boasts 4 lookout platforms offering a view of the whole of Knysna or the coast, depending which you stand on. Below is Coney Glen, a magnificently red rocked beach. There's also two restaurants alongside... More

Just a few kms out of Knysna, the Eastern Head has sheer drop cliffs but well maintained walkways and railings. The view point is free and had excellent photo opportunities.

A quick drive from city center takes you to a nice view point over the lagoon and the ocean. Beautiful houses on this hill.

Beautiful view across the lagoon, easy to reach and there is also a good restaurant for having lunch or just a snack.
