Beautiful area of the Garden Route, and definitely a nice little stop. We were there in low season so it was a bit quiet, but I think it added to the charm of the area. Do ask hotel staff which areas to avoid at night, and which areas are a good night out!

How can one possibly dislike waves crashing onto huge rocks in the sea at the mouth of a world famous lagoon? Knysna Heads is breathtaking, it is free and the cafeteria at the site serves the most delicious meals, cakes and teas.

Beautiful views! The lagoon is also very pretty. We visit here every year and find it very relaxing to gaze out at the heads.
