Heads has an amazing view and you can feel like an adventurer. You can see a small cave, stones, a beautiful sunset and rocks inside the sea to cross until the other side. It's easy to spend some hours there because you are always facinating with nee things. If you go to Knysna you must go to Heads

There's a nice boardwalk along the head and lower down along the beach. East head cafe is also worth a visit. Not a day trip, probably 2-3 hours if you include lunch. Apparently good for whale watching but we visited out of the breeding season. There are notice boards with info on whales telling you how to identify them.

Good views from above the Heads and over to the west side. You can walk around, up and down, but no café.

Gorgeous, especially at sunset (the viewpoint). We only had time to go to the viewpoint, looks like a beautiful area to spend more time at.

It's a nice drive along the lagoon up the Knysna Heads and then only a short walk to the viewing points. You have a very good view over the lagoon, Knysna Heads and the town of Knysna as well. There are also no costs involved, so if you have an hour or so to spare, do it and enjoy the... More

Loved this destination. It little more than a gap between two huge lumps of rock but to walk around it and in the beautiful wild green space is extremely invigorating. I have visited it twice from different points and each time it has appeared spectacular. Its free but if you enter or leave at the Milkwood entrance you can enjoy... More

The two sandstone cliffs guarding the entrance to the Lagoon are the most famous of the Knysna attractions. However in the lagoon is one of the few places in the world where there is an oyster hatchery. So go to one of the restaurants at the Heads and enjoy the local oysters along with the view!
