We took the John Benn out on new years day (01 Jan 16) and we sailed close to the Knysna Head. Beautiful views, would definately recommend it.

Was taken here by a friend who lives part-time in Knysna.... One can imagine the problems of sailors trying to enter this harbour... drastic. Apparently there was a fellow... somebody Benn who would be rowed out to help ships come into harbour. Today large boats are not allowed in.

The skipper of this catamaran Leon was the most entertaining person, he made the trip so exciting by sharing information on sailing. My 2 teenage sons were in awe of him.

Don't go to Knysna just to see the Heads but don't go to Knysna and ignore the heads ( not that you could miss them). There are wonderful but rides you can take right up too and even through the heads, one of the most dangerous shipping lanes in the world! Enjoy the restaurants right by them and soak up... More

Stunning location in the mouth of the river between the two famous Knysna Heads. The water was crystal clear and beautiful to swim in. Had great fun as there was a large area where you could safely swim with children as there are no waves

The Knysna heads is probably the most beautiful views that I have seen.If you have not paid a visit to this site you have not been to Knysna. There are interesting trails and walk ways to experience the beauty of nature, with breathtaking greenery. If you want to experience tranquillity, than the heads is definitely a must.

The heads are always worth a few visits, drive around the mansions at the top then park at the bottom and go for a walk, make sure you have shoes that you can scramble over rocks and sand in. there is also 2 nice restaurants there where you can enjoy a cuppa or a meal.

Just move around and enjoy the amazing views on every side, the noise of the collapsing waves on the rocks!
