This place is absolutely a must see if you are in Knysna. The scenery is fantastic. After visiting you should consider to follow the road "upwards" for 2 km, as this will take you down to Coney Glen beach.

Knysna is a quaint town in the Western Cape - en route to Cape Town. (The garden route). You shouldn't just drive through the town and not stop at The Knysna Heads. The view from the Heads is just too spectacular to miss. There are different view points, very well marked out.

No visit to knysna is complete is you don't visit the heads! We went to the east head, where you can have a short stroll along the head and there are nice benches along the way, where you can sit and enjoy the views!

Just loved the view at the Knysna heads...The view points were very well marked at maintained. The sea was clear blue.. We could see caves on the mountains on the other side of the view point.

We took a boat out to the Featherbed nature reserve. We then walked down the heads. Its easily the best way to see the view.

We drove to the top of East Head to get an appreciation of the whole area. There is a patrolled car park and paths to a 4-5 different viewpoints over the sea, the rocks and the western head. It was sunny but the wind was relatively low so the seas were not mountainous, but even so, it was great to... More
