We had the most delightful lunch there which is of the self service style and it was very good wonderful views topped this stop off.
I am amazed this stunning course is not more widely recognised in South Africa, it has everything and is located in two beautiful quiet valleys high above Knysna, the centre of The Garden Route. I have stayed here a number times but have never seen it in better condition, a new green keeper has lifted the course to a very... More
The Simola Golf Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and is a very tough test of golf! Apart from the incredible design, the course is in fantastic condition. Beware of the quick and difficult to read greens. This is a must for another visit!
As is expected from Nicklaus course, a great golfing experience. Well manuicured fairways and amazing views. Friendly staff and good clubhouse. Greens were recently hollow tined so slightly inconsistent but otherwise in good shape. Book on Golf passport if you're looking for a golf tour package.
The hotel room is beautifully and decadently appointed and immaculately kept. The hotel provides every creature comfort and one barely wants to leave the room. Sadly the in-room dining left much to be desired and I was very disappointing.
Actually went to the spa here for a couples massage and was blown away by the estate and it's lookout over Kynsna. Didn't get a chance to playy golf but the course looked immaculate and has an awesome layout. Therapists at the spa were very good and I probably had the best indian massage there - it even put me... I returned to one of my favorite places last week with great friends. The only thing better than the comfort, the great golf and the views was the way the we welcomed and looked after!
Stunning golf course with a spectacular view from the club house. Good food and a great selection of local beer. Annette and Deryk form Gonubie
This is one of our favourite courses anywhere in the world. The views down the Knysna River & out towards the Knysna Heads is simply spectacular. So, if you're golf isn't up to scratch, at least the scenery will be! The course is a typical Nicklaus design with loads of bunkers but, if you can avoid them, you can score... More
On our annual golf trip, one of our must do's was a return to Simola golf course. Previous visits were great! What a disappointment this time round! The welcoming was non existent. The staff were unfriendly and non caring-except for Halfway house where the people were friendly. The golf course was splendid as always but the attention to detail was... More
