Simola is a very nice course. There are some basic holes and some very mouth watering challenges like 8 and 9 for example. Negative points are the Carts. You need one which is always a distraction for the traditionalist It would however be a difficult course to walk.

the course is beautiful the views spectacular ,the fairways and greens perfect. the only reason i don't rate it excellent is that they have no GPS and that wouldn't have mattered if at the beg of every hole they had a picture of the hole and more yardage on sprinklers. right now they have the 150,100,and 50 metres... for a... Our first game of golf in South Africa was on Simola. The views were exceptional from the Clubhouse and the proved to be the same. Condition of the course was manicured to perfection.. Very good value for money, Staff could not have been more helpful and the meals were excellent. We'll be back!

Forget exclusive, the Simola crowd makes anyone feel welcome... I like to think it's 5-star 'inclusivity'... (which is not a word, I checked, but it should be). I think the single word that sums up Simola is "approachable". Yes, it's a little more than the average but the service and quality is five-fold. It is becoming a regular dining spot... More

first time any of the 4 had played there, it is truly stunning, thank goodness you don't have to walk it though. Will definitely play there again when in the area. Golfers should put it on their bucket list of "must play" courses. Halfway house food was superb, a Thai curry was the meal of the day but the drawback... More

The family accommodation caters for self-caterers. You will find gas braai and convection ovens in the same venue. An excellent health spa is available. You can also enjoy lunch, supper and breakfast at the Simola restaurant. Golfing becomes and extra special treat.

This is a Nicklaus signature golfcourse but unlike i.e. Pearl Valley it is really hilly. Use a buggy. But the design.... Wow!!! The maintenance on tees, fairways and greens are immaculate.

wonderful golf course, challenging but not too difficult. We really enjoyed the front nine especially the par 4 second hole, which is on an elevated tee and has amazing views!
