Great views when you travel through the garden route up the coast and on the other side on the background are the mountains. There is an entrance fee at the gate but certainly well worthwhile. Definetely we will be back .

We drove many of the roads in the area. Walking opportunities available. Recommend going to The Big Tree and the Map of Africa. The latter also gives you the opportunity to get fabulous views up the coast.

What a beautiful area, we loved driving about the garden route and have traveled all over the world. What a shame to be faced with discrimination of the highest order at the gates of the park. R40 for South Africans and R150 for International Visitors. We did not expect this kind of discrimination in South Africa! We turned around and... More

No the forest is not kilometres long and wide and yes you have to find its heart. But buy a map or take advice from the Tourist office in Knysna and go seek it out. You will be rewarded with what is becoming a rare experience of walking in a forest of this type. Trees, bushes, plants, flowers, birds and... More

This was my fourth time at the park and we stayed on the Oceanette's. Really clean and simple with a priceless view of the sea and coastline. I was there to run the Otter Challenge, and the staff park were geared up and the trail was in perfect knick. This really is one of the most beautiful places in the... More

The garden route is a wonderful drive, lots of amazing scenery, national parks, arts and crafts venues and places to eat. One of the best drives we have done!

I wasn't prepared for absolutely beautiful scenery of the Garden Route. Mountains, ancient forests, rivers & waterfalls, sweeping beaches with pounding surf. Ostrich farms and bays full of whales. An amazing diversity of scenery, ecosystems and wildlife. Easily accessible from Cape Town. Highly recommended!

Although this was our last stop, we would recommend this area to young adventurers, and families..there is everything for you to explore; there are mt hikes , sailing , surfing, Kayaking, and zip line for the energetic in the Tsitikamma national Park. Horse riding, and mt biking. As we are older, and it was wet, we hired a car, drove... More
