I had never seen whales before so for me to be in the midst of a pod of whales and have one swim under the boat was pretty amazing. The tour was well organized and ticked all the boxes

Nothing can quite prepare one for the adrenalin rush one experiences when a large dark tail surfaces above the water line or a plume of spray declares: There she blows! Whales in sight! There is never a guarantee that you will see a whale or any large marine creature for that matter; but when you go out on the boats... More

We went for this tour via Cape team tours and it was an incredible experience. We saw lots of whales and even white spotted ones. We had to go deep into the sea since it was the end os season but they made sure that we saw lots of whales. We also saw some whales from the shore itself but... More

We were on a whale cruise in November. The cruise itself was ok, we did see some whales from close distance. What I disliked is that we left 10 minutes late and arrived 15 minutes earlier back in the harbour, so all in all we had maybe 30 minutes around the whales. In the end I found the whole trip... There were so many whales in the bay but by the time we boarded there was a stiff wind!! There was an informative talk before the cruise about whales and what to expect. Safety is a priority and we were all issued with bright orange life jackets. Trip is quite expensive but we were given a pensioners discount. Remember to... More

Went whale watching with this company and had a wonderful time. Staff were more than helpful from start to finish. Saw the first whale within minutes of leaving the harbour. Soon afterwards another whale entertained us by lobtailing repeatedly. Felt safe on the boat. Thank you to all at Hermanus Whale Cruises. We will be back!

The boat was new and so were the life jackets - everything was very well run and safely managed. It was quite a big boat, which took away from the intimacy I would have preferred on a trip like this which is relatively expensive considering numbers on the boat of around 70 pax. However it was absolutely worthwhile to get... More
