Lovely tasting room and great wines. Chantelle is a great host and we really enjoyed it. The highlight was the 2015 Sauv Blanc and the Gin that they produce.

I have been wanting to visit Buitenverwachting for ages, but only managed to get there with our friends in June. I was so thrilled! What a pleasure! The farm, upon entry, seems very understated and quiet - unlike many of the more commercialized farms. Upon reaching the tasting room and restaurant, there is a great buzz with families, friends and wine... More

Living in Constantia, one often neglects places close to home... but Buitenverwachting is certainly not one of them... Their wines are superb. The setting is sublime, you are provided with civilized tables and chairs.... With no one even close to you..... The picnic is a wonderful way to spend your afternoon. They have no problem with bringing more bread.... Really... More

Visit the wine-land and have a lovely glass of wine with something nice to eat. Here you can relax and enjoy the view that you cannot enjoy every day!!!

It is very easy to do a number of wineries in the Constantia area in a day trip from Cape Town. Our first stop was this winery. Very hard to pronounce correctly. The setting is very beautiful with old Dutch buildings with thatch roofs. The pourings were very generous. Butien blanc and Christen Red are favorites. We were the only... More

Buitenverwachting buiten blanc must be one of the most delicious wines, easy to drink, lovely taste best with food or simply on its own, mmmmm

This is for me the top Winery to visit in the Constantia area. Why? well... its smallish size make it way less attractive to large groups and the road to it would not be bus friendly, therefore the tasting area is intimate and the adjoining coffee / snack bar area serves delicious meals at such reasonable prices plus the service... Fantastic afternoon with friends, celebrating new child but fully catered outdoor picnic. Magnificent setting, wonderful food and wine, including Buitenverwachting Chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and Steenberg Rose Brut Methode Cap Classique. A perfect venue for a unique experience to spoil important friends and guests at
