If you can only go for a Safari in CapeTown, this is a great choice. Otherwise, Kruger is the place to go. As for Aquila, the game drives were great (we went for an Overnight stay and was offered two game drives- which was definitely needed. One game drive was 3 hours long, and the morning one is 1 hour... More

Being at the Aquila Private Game Reserve has been my most memorable and intimate experience with nature. The staff were so friendly and took pride in their work, and it was evident that the animals were loved and protected. The rooms were clean, beautifully renovated and it was clear that the staff took time to pay attention to detail. The... More

Let me start by saying that the Aquila property is amazing. It was unique, beautiful, and makes for really great photos! The rooms are fantastic as well. The photos on the website don't do them justice. We had a great patio and an outdoor shower (as well as a huge bathtub inside). Our favorite activity that we did there was... More

Although it was very nice the neatness of the place need some attention specially the outside part at the pool area & gardens and the roads to the chalets.

Overall a wonderful experience, great game drives, friendly staff and very informative people too. The rooms were nicely done, like you would find at any decent hotel etc, fully stocked with all the needs you could want. However, I would recommend a few touches just to take it to another level. 1. Have small foot carpets on either side of... More

While we had a good time at Aquila, we had a few concerns. The first was that the dinner on the evening was the left overs from the lunch that day. The access around the main area on the paths was not great due to them being wet. They could be looked after better. The roads inside the reserve are... More

Aquila is close to Cape Town, so this makes it appealing. The food is buffet style and pretty good (drinks are not included) but there is plenty to chose from. Our cabin was basic but comfortable and the out door shower was fun. Spend extra and stay in the cottages, they looked great. The Safari itself was wonderful! We had... More

The dining facilities were ok, we were disappointed with our experience based on the simple things which could've been avoided by management of Aquilla! The weather was bad so we expected a indoors experience, however the ESA no entertainment available for our children and we were told that wifi would be available, rooms had no entertainment, TV or wifi. We... More

I took the day trip safari while I was staying in Cape Town and found it to be a delightful use of my morning. Our safari guide was accessible, friendly, and understandable. I got great photographs of the animals and we saw almost everything clearly except the lions -- who were already retreating to cooler places for nap time. The... More
