Went for a one day safari - not to be missed. It was an early pick up from my hotel at the Waterfront in Cape Town followed by a roughly two hour drive to the Reserve, with a comfort break en-route. We were welcomed with sparkling wine and a buffet breakfast and then a chance to relax for about an... More

We had looked at this safari before we arrived in Cape Town as we knew that it was too far for a "proper" safari (Kruger) but still able to see the "Big 5" within driving distance of central Cape Town (approx. 2 hours). We actually booked it with one of the Aquila representatives set up at the V&A Waterfront. You... More

Having planned the safari overnight trip from the UK, we opted to be picked up from Cape Town for an extra £50 per person to save the hassle of driving and having a relaxed few days away from busy Cape Town. Unfortunately this was a huge mistake. Despite contacting Aquila prior to our trip for a pick up time, we... More

The whole experience of Aquila from the booking on line months before, to arriving, was AMAZINGLY. Transport from Cape Town was great and Faaheim the driver was such a super guy. Friendly greetings, wonderful food, the cabin we stayed in was beautiful, including an outside shower! The safaris were incredible and our driver and guide Yannis was so much fun... More

I wish we had time to make it to Kruger while we were in South Africa but our schedule didn't allow it. Since we wanted to see some animals outside of a zoo setting, we chose Aquila as a nice day trip. Our driver picked us up at our hotel on time and from Cape Town it's about 2.5 hrs... More

This private reserve is conveniently located 2 hours outside of Cape town, and for ZAR 1000 , they can collect and drop you off in CT. Do book the 2 day/overnight option- it allows for afternoon and early am game drive. I am sure you will be guaranteed to see all the animals. Keep in mind the Karoo region isn't... More

Staying for a day and night at Aquila Game Reserve was a treat - from the warm hospitality to the amazing setting and last, but not least the opportunity to see the Big Five and so much more in the glorious setting of a natural habitat with experienced guides. I cannot wait to return with my family soon!

Outstanding service and incredible effort to work through a flash flood of rain with max occupancy. We were truly impressed that the hotel was able to clean the rooms the next morning and still have events and meals on time. Job well done under those circumstances.
