Bloubergstrand Beach would be perfect if not for the freezing cold water. Stepping in, you feel as if your brain is going to explode and that your bones will break if you take another step in. The Kite Surfers love it but even they would not venture in without a wetsuit. Safe and clean. Leave your fishing rod at home...

I can see why many artists have chosen this destination for paintings. Scenic and clean, many come here to walk, jog, meditate or play in the shallows. We bring our kids here every weekend to unwind.

Fantastic view on the table mountain and on Capetown. Definately worth the detour!The beach itself is wide and beautiful,sit down or have a walk and seize this special moment in your life.

This is a lovely beach with a stunning view of Robben Island and Table Mountain. All the shops are near and plenty to choose from. Lovely clean beaches with toilets close by.

Just a nice beach with a spectacular view. Disappointed about restaurants and facilities behind. Take your camera and go just before sunset. I was a bit windy and chilly too in May, bring along a light jacket! Taxis are hardly found nearby so if you are taking one there make sure you get his number so you can call one...

We rented a lovely condo near the beach for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular views and sunsets from our 4th floor balcony. The kite surfers were amazing to watch! A nice place to be away from the city, but still close enough to visit. Just wish there were some better restaurants there. Plenty of pizza, sushi and take-away...

There is only ONE way you should experience Bloubergstrand - Go to the Blue Peter Restaurant, order some beer and pizza and watch the sun set right over Robben island. The views of Table mountain is quite spectacular from Bloubergstrand, and when it is low tide, you can walk quite deep in to some sand banks of Bloubergstrand. Or do...
