This beach looks directly onto Table Mountain and is beautiful. You can swim but the water is cold. On Sundays the nearby Hotel opens up it's gardens and serves great light lunches. At low tide you can walk out to the rock. A great place to take a wheelchair the car park is tar right up to the beach and... More

Great to see all the kite surfers in action, kids playing on the beach. Hold on to your hat...it can be very windy here. Place worth a visit.

Not anywhere else in Cape Town will you experience a sunset like at Bloubergstrand Beach. Soft white sand and gentle current makes for a pleasant surf walk. Watch the sun go down and the new 7th Wonder of the world, Table Mountain is lit up.

This is one of the most magnificent views of table mountain ever. The beach is really long and very clean with fantastic jogging paths on the side! The ideal beach to practise yoga on as the sun is setting or to indulge in a gorgeous Cape wine.

We stopped here on the way up to the West Coast - the beaches seem very clean and we had fun watching the kite surfers. But our main reason for stopping was to get some great pictures of Table Mountain!

Such a large beach with Table Mountain in the background and very few kite surfers on a week-day. One gets the feeling of an endless stretch of white sand with little sea-weeds....and much invigorating wind.

Discovered Bloubergstrand in 1972, loved the place then and still love visiting it. Lovely ocean, beaches, rocks, views and sunsets. Good variety of restaurants in area to suit every taste. Not commercialised in any way, definitely my favourite destination in the world
