Have visited this attaction twice and enjoyed it on both occassions. Its on the Blue bus route and is well worth the visit. As well as birds there are other small animals and monkeys one or two you dont see often. I had never seen a Cassowary before and id also never had monkeys climbing over me either. WOB was... more

My favourite excursion was the world of birds. Fantastic place and what you spend contributes to these animals welfare. If you like animals go, its a great day out. more

We spend a couple of hours here but would have liked to stay all day. The birds are magnificent and to be able to get so close to them is amazing. Tip:watch out for the owls that nest on the ground - I nearly stood on one because it was so well camoflagued. more

tipical animal zoo where you feel the pity for the animals in cages. poor animals. beautiful animals (majority birds) in small and dirty cages, that makes the animals soo sad. how bad is to see a beautiful big eagle or great owl in a small and dirty cage. the zoo needs renovation and enlargements. better avoid. more

Firstly the positives. This is a great place to get up close with many birds. We were told this is the largest bird sanctuary in South Africa, and it is massive. It will take at least an hour or two to walk around. This aspect was great.. Unfortunately there were some negatives. There is a small monkey section that you... more

The World of Birds is a place for compulsory visit to Cape Town. It is an organized place, where the visitors can interact with the animals, walking in the middle of all kinds of birds and touching the monkeys. Important tip 1: take a raincoat because the weather in Cape Town is very unstable. Prevented with a raincoat, the ride... more

World of Birds was a wonderful stop on our trip. I have been to aviaries and bird parks before, but there is nothing like World of Birds, with the large number of bird species. The entire park has over 100 different aviaries, with many walk in aviaries, filled with birds of many colors, shapes, and sizes. It’s a delight and... more

This is a must-do if you're an animal lover. My husband and I even enjoyed World of Birds over Table Mountain, if that gives you any indication! Coming from the US, there's nowhere like World of Birds back home; we were able to get inside the cages with almost all of the birds (including huge hornbills, turkey vultures, and owls).... more

Went there with the family in July 2007 while visiting Cape Town. Lots of birds, and lots of enclosed areas where you can get close to the birds (and they to you, like it or not) and monkeys. Was fun, would pick this over the aquarium every time. more
