We actually walked here from where the noon cannon goes off. Fantastic views but no facilities apart from toilets so take water if walking there.

Its great at night. Quite safe as there are many tourists visiting the Hill. A must even during the day.

This hill is popular for the amazing views while sunsets. Unfortunately, I had no view as it was foggy or cloudy (not sure) but it has been an experience. You can go there as a tourist by a HOHO nigh tour bus of ~$10. There are tables for picnics, get prepared, so. Good luck for the clear sky!

Lots of space to park and wonder around. Great views of Robben Island and Cape Town too. Not hard to find. Don't go on the weekends as it gets too busy!

HIKE AGAIN: Yes, from Lion's Head to the waterfront was a great hike, although I failed to look at my map and ended up descending the hill too early. Worse was losing my most favorite hiking hat somewhere along the trail.

This is a lovely viewpoint with great vistas and awesome sunsets. This part of cape Town is windy (I am told it always is) so come prepared. Stunning scenery and great for photos. Very highly recommended

People usually take panoramic pictures of Cape Town from Table Mountain, but it is even better from Signal Hill (you get Table Mountain IN your shot). No entry fee, just drive up the road leading there and park in the parking lot. I would recommend going there during the day - the sun is in the right place to illuminate... More

Amazing 360 views. Great place for picnic (if you don't mind the wind). Parking is an issue and toilets are not very clean.

I have rarely seen sunsets such as those over the sea as viewed from the peninsula at the end of Signal Hill. I have a friend Braahm Malherbe who lives in the only house on the ridge of Signal Hill, leased to him by Cape Town City Council. He is the head of the Volunteer Fire Fighters amongst other things,... More
