Sited at the foot of Table Mountain it is a very extensive garden devoted primarily to the indigenous unique flora . It has a marvellous collection of protea , the national flower of South Africa. Unless you're a big fan of flowers, or almost a botanist, the tour has no additional attraction. I would not recommend that you not fall in those cases. The garden is very large, but for those who do not appreciate flowers with the look of a botanist, everything is very equal and walking becomes tiring. more

Kirstenbosch is my favourite picnic spot in Cape Town. You can generally find a sheltered spot away from the wind. Especially lovely on balmy summers days, just lazing.
