Lovely even in the rain

Beautiful, even in the rain! Don't forget to go to the tree canopy walk, I didn't know about it (therefore missed it) and apparently it's fantastic.

Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens are very very popular with locals and tourists alike, but the gardens never seem to be crowded or noisy. A lovely peaceful place to spend the day if you like.

This is obviously a must see tourist destination, but as a local I think its a must visit place in the summer. The entrance fee to the gardens is reasonable and the views are amazing, there is a sense of fun in finding your own spot in the vast gardens to relax and enjoy the day. Take a picnic basket,... From the Cape cableway the drive to the gardens is only 20 minutes-the little cafe does good sandwiches and great iced coffees-sit inside or out then meander through avenues of beautiful trees and walk the new canopy for the best views since you descended from the top of table mountain-bring a picnic and enjoy a calm and tranquility minutes from... Whether you walk along the pathways and explore the delights of the beautiful Gardens or are driven in an electric cart by a professional who is able to explain the diversity of the indigenous flora, this is an attraction no-one should miss. It is the "Largest Garden in Africa" and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty... More

Allow plenty of time to wander around the large hillside garden areas. Make sure you bring a camera along- there are good restaurants and galleries too. Easy access from the town by taxi.
