I only had an hour to have a look around the gardens, but could have happily spent longer. The place is gorgeous in the sunshine.

I've been wanting to visit here for quite some time and finally made the effort. I found the entrance fees to be affordable seeing as it is a remarkably well maintained botanical garden. Signage is great and the boomslang canopy walkway is definitely a highlight. There are only a few restaurants to pick from, but of course picnics are a... More

Just Go ! We booked the little shuttle with a tour guide recently and it was well worth it. Our guide pointed out so much more than what we ever noticed before. I strongly suggest that you make use of this when you arrive. Thereafter, enjoy roaming around in your own time. Grab a coffee at La Vida on your... More

One of the greatest Botanical gardens I have ever visited, such a verity of shrubs and trees and flowers you only able to see on table mountain. Weekends are always full of fun with concerts of national and international performers. A must see when in Cape Town

One of the days we were in Cape Town it was too rainy and windy to visit the gardens so we went to check out their gift store that we had heard wonderful things about. Well I was able to spend an hour of time checking everything out and buying souvenirs for myself, friends and family. The nice thing about... More

A visit to Kirstenbosch gardens while in Cape Town is a must if you love flowers! You can wander for hours through all parts of the gardens. A breathtaking botanical garden, located in the foothills of Table Mountain. Immaculate gardens, stunning display sections of the indigenous floral kingdom, great views, great walks up Table Mountain and around the gardens.... even saw a wild caracal here!

Well maintained - lots of walks for all fitness levels. Amble or stride, but you'll have to go back several times to enjoy ALL of it!

This was beautiful even in the winter months. I can't imagine how pretty it must be in the summer. We spent two hours here and could have spent the whole day enjoying the surroundings.
