Well worth the visit!

Beautiful gardens that are large enough to spend the whole day in. The restaurant was full so were unable to eat there.

Overlooked by majestic mountains, the gardens sweep down from the rear encompassing a wealth of varied, interesting and beautiful flora and fauna. Although rightly popular you really can submerge yourself in the environment and feel almost at one with nature. We could have spent all day here. The on site restaurant made a fine conclusion- what a lovely spot- what... More

It was fall, so no spring blooms, but that certainly did not make Kirstenbosch any less amazing. We hiked up and up, surprised and awed as these gorgous gardens revealed inviting lawns, hidden grottoes, and luxurious plantings. We explored the tree canopy walkway, being careful to not disturb the owl perched just above us. Our hike took us up into... More

we took a bus tour for the day and wished we could have stayed longer in these gardens! you need to take time to stroll around and can bring a picnic. The gardens offers concerts in the summer. We missed the last one during our visit!

This was on my CT to do list but only if I had time. But was I wrong... we went n were amazed at the attention to detail with the themed gardens & all well maintained. We saw a few gardeners busy , all doing their work with so much pride. We really loved the "boomslang " walkway, it gave... More

Had a few hours to kill and decided to visit Kirstenbosch. Uniques colection of trees and plants with nic views of the surrunding area. If you like Botancial gardens you definitely will not be disappointed--not my thing though,VERY reasonable

We called in twice within a couple of days - one on a gloriously sunny day, the other on a damp afternoon. We were told that the best time is spring (Sept,Oct) but it was still worthwhile. Open air concerts had some "names" so check whose on!

The garden is a mixture of mature flower beds and lovely trees and fully deserves the claim of being one of the best in the world. It is one of the stops on the blue route of the hop-on, up-off tourist bus and should not be missed.
