We have been to many botanical gardens, but this one is now at the top of the list. So many beautiful varieties of plants, flowers and trees that are displayed in a well organized fashion. Also enjoyed the numerous birds that shared the grounds.

Lovely gardens with a backdrop of a side of table mountain you might not otherwise see. Try the canopy walkway, the Braille garden and wonder through the gardens. Lots of information and stunning scenery to admire - you do not have to be heavily into plants to enjoy this beautiful and tranquil place

the place is huge so be ready to walk. its nice to discover all the different types of flowers. bringing a mat would be advisable as it would be good to sit under the trees and relax. i would suggest to spare a few hours and enjoy peaceful moment maybe with a book and nice wine

Botanical garden doesn't do justice to how beautiful and impressive Kirstenbosch is "in the flesh". You won't be disappointed.

Beautifully well-maintained grounds and quite a few plants in full bloom. A delightful way to spend a couple of hours or you could even take a picnic. I'll be back!

I visited in spring when the vygies were in spectacular bloom--gold, scarlet, fuchsia, orange--as well as many other fynbos plants found only in the southern Cape. I went 3 times and still missed some of the trails. There is a large conservatory with very informative displays. I ate at 2 of the restaurants, the tea room, and the Moyo, each... More

We had a short visit at the end of a full day tour but would have liked to have spent more time there as the grounds are beautiful.

Against a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery the gardens offer you a wonderful selection of colourful plants and shrubs to admire. There is plenty of space for picnics etc and on a good sunny day the perfect place to chill.
