We were disappointed in the botanical gardens based on others we have visited. Nothing much in bloom and limited plantings.

Fabulous. Not to be missed. Take a picnic and sit down and relax after strolling around the beauty of this natural beauty. On Sundays during the summer there are fantastic outdoor concerts where you will have to pay an extra entrance fee, but are absolutely worth it. Great place to spend a day doing some gentle hiking or just looking at the plants. Order bobotie at the cafe. Enjoy the views.

Top off your Table Mountain trip with a visit to the botanical gardens afterwards. Take a cab from the cable car station to the Gardens. The Gardens are at the base of Table Mountain. They are absolutely beautiful with wonderful walkways. You can spend hours in the gardens if you like.

Quite simply it's a must see and check out the restaurants too serving great food. As the gardens are on the mountainside take sensible forward. Disabled guests have access to a buggy ride around the gardens with guide.

One of the best natural park in the world, and somehow related to our national park in Bogor, as it was built by the Dutch in early 1900's....
