A fantastic experience to visit such large area with South African indigenous plants. Walking over the hanging bridge gives one an opportunity to see the vastness of the gardens and it is a picture to remember for ever. The curio shop has very interesting curios which is not found anywhere else in Cape Town. The entrance to the gardens has... More

Nicely arranged and landscaped, fun treeline walkway, good views if it's not hazy. The individual gardens for the blind are particularly well-done with fragrances and textures.

We enjoyed our afternoon in this beautiful park. Absolutely stunning. The dinosaurs, the boomslang and good places to eat. We enjoyed the curio shop with its botanical books. Definately will return in July.

A beautiful place to visit, relaxing and peaceful the walks are well laid out and easy to undertake as long as you take time and water if the temperature is high. Its a haven for botanical enthusiasts both walkers or strollers alike if you have limited mobility they provide transport to drive the gardens. Give the shop a visit we... More

This was a very enjoyable visit - we could have spent hours looking at the different flowers and shrubs. There is a lot of information available which makes the visit more interesting. Rather hot in summer, maybe spring would be the best time to visit.

A beautiful oasis - you can sit and soak up the sights, or hike about the grounds as we did, before having a delicious salad at the Tea Room. The new canopy walkway, "the Boomslang" is a sensitive and wonderful addition offering great views. The diversity and areas of interest mean that you can easily lose an entire day!

We often visit Kirstenbosch to just walk about and admire the beautiful gardens. My Wife is always going to the nursery to but indigenous plants...that you would struggle to find at ordinary nurseries. My special place is the lovely art gallery, where I find art within my price range. We have found the restaurants good but can be a bit... More

I visit this place several times while here. Be it just for the peaceful garden in a fantastic location or the ever changing art exhibitions such as sculptures etc. or scientific projects explained to lay people. Never mind the wonderful sunset concerts with great performers. For me it's a must go each and every time.

We went twice. Once the weather was good and we enjoyed it tremendously. The second time it was hot and it was not so enjoyable. I would do it again though. The view of the mountain and the tree canopy are fabulous.

Visited Kirstenbosch which was magnificent as always then met friends for a picnic and one of the live concerts - we saw The Soil - it was truly wonderful. Probably the most beautiful open air venue in the world
