I hadn't been to the Gardens for about a decade yet they are still absolutely delightful. There are very few such venues where you can get some good walking exercise in the most wonderful surroundings, and feel relaxed and stress-free. The Gardens are well maintained and are also well sign-posted. The various specials like the fragrance garden and the shaded... More

The gardens are stunning. Serene, peaceful, tranquil...you get the idea. But not on the day I went there. The music blaring from the Vida e caffe at the main entrance was deplorable. And I am not an "oldie" who doesn't like loud music. I was just horrified at such a "welcome" to the gardens on that busy Friday afternoon, especially... More

With the winds making our tours of Table Mountain and Robben Island impossible, we too advice and headed towards the other World Heritage Site in Cape Town, the awe-inspiring Kirstenbosch National Botanic Gardens. At 50 rand entrance fee, this is a real snip! My first impression was the extraordinary mountainous backdrop, quickly followed by how well kept these enormous gardens... More

If you like flowers, botanic gardens or just strolling through plants and trees this is a must. even in the off season there are plenty of things flowering - in spring it must be really spectacular. The gardens are huge so wear comfortable shoes and allow several hours for your visit. A must see if you're in Cape Town

There is so much to see, and so many beautiful walks, it's impossible to do everything in one day. Not to mention concert days... Whether for brunch (and a stroll through an art exhibition), lunch or an afternoon picnic, KBosch is always the perfect spot. (You can even buy picnics at the top restaurant if you are feeling lazy.) One... More

We went here on the tail-end of one our day excursions and by the end of the day I was already exhausted. Too exhausted to walk around gardens. Since I am not a herbologist or interested in the different species of plants and trees, it was a big bore to me.

It was the end of the Summer so most plants and flowers had lost their beautiful looks and colours. Yet we had a great time bird-watching!

The gardens are beautiful and perfect for a picnic with loved ones. The tea garden was lovely as well.

This was amazing! Even though the moving trail was a little unnerving I still loved the view and the beautiful photo ops.

After being in the gardens for about 10 minutes you can feel how your stress starts to disappear. The garden is beautiful and every time that you go you can explore a different part of the gardens. It is relaxing and enjoyable for a picnic. This is a wonderful place to take young children to - they can get rid... More
