It is a massive university that stretches very far. All the hills up and down makes exploring this location very fun as the architecture is quite impressive. There's a wide range of facilities and it is especially interesting mingling with the young intellectuals on their typical day. Definitely a must visit for a true Cape Town culture experience.

Had a great time going back to varsity. Took the Jammie from Sandown road. You can leave your car at the Sandown parking lot on the gravel and then grab a shuttle. Take your walking shoes along for the uphill walking on upper campus. Everyday is fashion show at UCT upper campus. Dress to fit it.

An outstanding academic institution but the one that has probably the most spectacular situation of any university anywhere, below the Devil's Peak on Table Mountain. The Rhodes association and memorial also worth pursuing.

Definitely stunning campus - although you must be fit to walk around it - it is part of Table Mountain after all! Great to be a student here, great history and excellent staff.

Sitting on the slopes of the back of Table Mountain is this European/Ivy League University which has an enviable history dating back to it's founder, Cecil Rhodes... A constant rallying point against the Apartheid regime, gives it good credentials in the New South Africa. Famous medical school which nurtured the first ever heart transplant... A great place of learning and... More

This is set against a huge mountain and the only rated university in the Times Higher Ed Great courses and lovely to look at. There is a spanking new library and the residences are charming. The middle campus is modern and clean. The dam is the place to meet and greet. Great adventures and atmosphere. study here for a worthwhile... More

One of the most scenic campuses anywhere - against Devil's Peak, Table Mountain, with a panoramic view of the Cape Peninsula opposite. One of the top universities in South Africa.
