These are the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town! But beware the icy Atlantic ocean, you won't be swimming for very long! Also note that these beaches are quite sheltered from the South Easterly wind, so Camps Bay might have gale force winds while Clifton is only experiencing a gentle breeze. Toilets and outside showers are available along with the... More

WOW - this would probably be the best way to describe the 4 beautiful beaches accessible to each other via the freezing Atlantic or walking across the boulders. The privacy and beauty of the beaches will astound you. The water, as mentioned, is freezing but worthwhile an attempt!

There are four (well, maybe five beaches -- Moses Beach is seasonal) associated with the name Clifton Beaches. They have granite boulders and white sand. Moses Beach has papyrus plants and is under water much of the time. The fourth beach is valued by the glamorous and well-to-do with families. Many yachts anchor in this area. The other three beaches... More

Beautiful white sand. Clean and neat. Perfect beach to just relax and enjoy life. Set aside an entire day just sitting, sunbathing and taking in the beauty.

As a local, I would recommend the beaches as follow: Fourth beach - this is the largest beach, is the furthest south (near Camps Bay side) and is near the car park. This beach is frequented by families and children and there are life guards on duty. Toilets. Third beach – it is a smaller beach, you will find less... More

Fantastic atmosphere, nestled among mountains, white sand so fine it squeaks beneath your feet, no stores on the beach or beachfront, just some vendors of drinks and ice-creams. Somewhat marred by beach-bat players and the like on the main beach, which is very body-beautiful; go to one of the smaller ones if you prefer quiet. Freezing water; dry heat...it's better... More

I love these beaches because it is so beautiful with the amazing houses and mountain behind you. From the parking it is a bit of a walk which is great because you don't have any cars close to the beach.

Not for everyone. The water is freezing cold. Its best at sunset for a long walk along the shore. But on a hot summer's day it is best avoided. The traffic is terrible, the beach is too full.

Beautiful set of beaches absolutely ruined by development of apartments and hotels along the ocean front limiting parking and access.
