Description: The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans...
The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast. Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to large ragged-tooth sharks, the Aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Be mesmerised by the swaying of the giant kelp in the aptly named Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit- one of only a handful living kelp forest displays in the world. Or come face-to-face with giant spider grabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Predator Exhibit, with its 11m long window, to view large ragged tooth sharks and shoals of silvery fish. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive with the sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit and the shimmering fish in the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit.

its fishy....

A good place to visit with family. We enjoyed the shark feeding time and the session after that. We also got to hold star fish in our hand. Over all a good experience.

Worth a visit if you are at V&A waterfront. The whole walk through can be done in 1.5 hours. There is a good variety of marine life to view. Innovative displays.

Not a very large aqarium however there is a variety of fish on display. The dispaly's have good descriptions which enable one to identify the type of species and provides additional information about the species. The penguin area was definately the best....

Always fun to spend 2 hours walking through the aquarium. Fun outing for kids. 'Interactive tide pools' and play area for kids. I have 2 kids (2 & 5 years old), we are regular visitors to the aquarium.

The aquarium is small but nice for a short visit. I must admit I am spoiled with the Steinhart's Aquarium in San Francisco and the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, California. If Cape Town's weather is challenging or if young children are restless this would be nice stop for a couple of hours in the afternoon. The fish are beautiful... More

Always good fun taking a walk thru the Aquarium. Must say one of the best outings I have. They go out of there way to show you in detail all that is going on under the sea. Please spend some time at the Aquarium nest time you in Cape town. Well done to management for keeping the place up to... More

Its a pretty small aquarium with not much to see. The reason for the low grading is also because of their practice of catching juvenile sharks and releasing them as adults. I can only compare them to one other aquarium I have been to but it was not the experience we were expecting. I did like the South African initiative... More

I must admit, my soft spot is always for aquariums. There’s an inner desire of mine to always visit aquariums and see the underworld beasts. I’ve seen some shocking aquariums abroad. This one is top notch and definitely about preserving nature. The little creatures come first above everything else, as opposed to plonking fish into a display tank for entertainment... More
