Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to large ragged-tooth sharks, the Aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Be mesmerised by the swaying of the giant kelp in the aptly named Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit- one of only a handful living kelp forest displays in the world. Or come face-to-face with giant spider grabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Predator Exhibit, with its 11m long window, to view large ragged tooth sharks and shoals of silvery fish. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive with the sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit and the shimmering fish in the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit. « less

The aquarium was a super outing, our young kids had a ball. It is a good place to visit if the weather is miserable as everything is under cover.

I thought the aquariums were really beautiful. They do a good job with posted information. The penguins were so cute. The sharks are intimidating!

Well organised, with interesting displays about the difference between the two oceans (Atlantic and Indian - warm and cold). Plenty to see and although it was midweek with school groups visiting they did not distract from the experiance

Thank you very much for your review of the Two Oceans Aquarium. We see about 52 000 school children each year. We hope that their visit to the Aquarium will instill a love of the ocean in them and will therefore create adults who love the ocean and want to protect it. More

I have been to several highly rated aquariums in the US, but found the Two Oceans Aquarium very special indeed. One of my first observations was that their reefs and sea plants in the displays were real, not artificial. Offering displays from both the Indian (warm) Ocean and the Atlantic (cold) Ocean makes this aquarium unique. Another strength is their... More

Wow, thank you very much for your wonderful review of the Two Oceans Aquarium. It is really appreciated. The Aquarium has an in-house collection team that collects the animals and plants that are on display. This way we know exactly when, where, how and what was collected. We can measure our impact and we can release an animal in the... More

The two oceans aquarium is a very nice attraction near the waterfront of Cape Town... regardless of the weather. We especially enjoyed the penguins and the 2 big aquariums, one of which contains sharks, turtles and other very big fish. -> must see when in Cape Town.

Thank you very much for your review of the Two Oceans Aquarium. Thank you also for your comment about wishing that we housed dolphins or whales. Many of our visitors express this request, but we would not be able to provide dolphins and whales with sufficient space and therefore will not and cannot keep them. More

Given that the waters are often rough and cold off Cape Town, instead of diving, we went to the aquarium. Small and nicely displayed, differentiating Atlantic and Indian oceanic under water life. Also a small penguin exhibit. Confortable settings to sit and just watch the fish for a leisurely visit. I would advise a weekday or when school is in... More
