Owner description: The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast. Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to large ragged-tooth sharks, the Aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Be mesmerised by the swaying of the giant kelp in the aptly named Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit- one of only a handful living kelp forest displays in the world. Or come face-to-face with giant spider grabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Predator Exhibit, with its 11m long window, to view large ragged tooth sharks and shoals of silvery fish. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive with the sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit and the shimmering fish in the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit.

Two Oceans Aquarium is a great aquarium. The layout is good, exhibits are interesting and varied and the large tanks are spectacular. There is a good range of things for kids to do and enjoy, as well as the opportunity for them to learn about the two oceans that converge nearby. The Aquarium is well suited with ample parking, and... More

Every time I go to Cape Town I visit the 2 Oceans Aquarium! It's great to see the big fish swimming so effortlessly through the clear water. A very educational place that's fun too!

Compared to other aquariums around the world, the one in Cape Town really is quite uneventful. It is small and quickly seen. We waited an hour for the 'shark feeding', but we did not see any of the sharks actually eat anything. For very small children it might be OK though.

Bit underwhelming. If you have been to any other aquariums chances are there's not much new for you too see here. It is laid out well and looked after. Plenty stuff to do for kids. Took me and my partner 40 mins to see everything so don't plan it as a daytrip :(

My wife and I took our two nieces to this aquarium just before Christmas. Quite frankly I thought I'd be bored as I am not an aquarium person. It was an absolute fun thing to do. Lots of children having fun and discovering new things. The penquin pen was a highlight for me. They are are such cute little fellows... More

So much to see! Maybe too much! They managed to cram so much in. It's almost confusing? They offer no maps... encouraged to just keep following the signs. With small kids that is easier said than done. We ended up back & forth so many times we probably saw everything twice. But a good experience.

There's something soothing to the soul about visiting here, taking in the relaxing energy of the kelp forest and various aquariums, and the penguins are cute! Check the feeding times of the sharks, quite interesting to see!
