The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans...

The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast. Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to large ragged-tooth sharks, the Aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Be mesmerised by the swaying of the giant kelp in the aptly named Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit- one of only a handful living kelp forest displays in the world. Or come face-to-face with giant spider grabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Predator Exhibit, with its 11m long window, to view large ragged tooth sharks and shoals of silvery fish. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive with the sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit and the shimmering fish in the Ocean Basket Kelp Forest Exhibit.

Loved The Penguins!

The Two Oceans Aquarium is a great place to go to view sharks, penguins, eels, and tropical fish native to the area.

Enjoyable and a good place to come face to face with many of the denizens of the deep that are found in south African waters. However, it's starting to look a little shabby and the offer hasn't changed much since the first time I went nearly 20 years ago. Good for a rainy day, but not sure I'd suggest going... More

This place is well worth an hour or two of anyone's time perhaps, as we did, coupled with a visit to the arts and crafts market nearby afterwards. The exhibits are clearly explained and the range of creatures on show wide. The highlight for us was the penguin feeding at 11.45am and the large fish feeding at noon about 20... More

The aquarium offers the best of both our beutiful oceans bordering SA. Some interesting exhibits makes for a fun outing for any age. I can sit in front of the Atlantic exhibit with its kelp forests all day and just relax. It is not as big as uShaka in Durban or as flashy but still a great day out.

We went to the aquarium with our 7 year old. We thought it'd be a good idea to get there in the morning...bad idea. There were literally thousands of school kids. The staff told us to come back around 1pm. When we returned we practically had the place to ourselves. We watched several of the shows - which were great... More

A worthy visit and a must do if never done before. I do it every time I come to cape town. Lovely exhibitions of the under sea world. Particularly love the logger head turtle in the large main display aquarium. Sharks are always a hit and somehow dont look so menacing through the glass.

I had high expectations before I went to this aquarium. Once you are inside everything is well taken care off. But in my opinion the aquariums were small and not so special. The big tank with sharks is cool!

Nice aquarium, lots to see, saw of loads of fish I hadn't seen before! The clownfish tank was a lot of fun. Like many attractions in cape town was cheap to get into and worth the money.

Love & hate feeling !! Two Oceanos Aquarium is mesmerizing ... Beautiful creatures. My concern is the small aquariums, tanks they're in. I know this place is for educational purposes too but ... Make those tanks larger ... Penguins area included. Again ... Loved the place but cannot stop thinking about the exiguous space !!
