Though the beach is still popular, the elegant splendor that once graced this seaside resort community barely shows through the paved-over streets, fast-food eateries and shopping centers.

It is one of the best places in the Capetown. it requires customized tour plan or rent a car to drive. regular tour bus or car is not available. but the visit is worthy especially indigo wave of great Indian ocean

Surfed Muizenberg for the first time the other day. I was a little disappointed. There was relatively very little wind and a good swell, but the waves were very choppy and coming in from all directions it seemed like. Great spot for beginners, but not worth the time if you are looking for real waves.

Wide streach beaches. Pic a windless day, otherwise you go the other more protected beaches. On a warm summers day, a great beach. So if it's a windless day, then do go visit and you dont get too many opportunities. For the surfers, the right break is slow and perfect.

This beach is a brilliant place for tourists who want to explore an authentic experience in Cape. The surfers are abound, small cafés make a great post-surf caffeination, and the views of the bay are quite stunning! Always listen for the shark alarms, though!

A great part of Cape Town with huge links to its history in the early days when my family lived there. The beach is good, but there are better, such as Clifton and Camp's Bay, but worth a visit as part of a longer drive up the coast. Proceed to Simonstown for tea. Very lovely.

This is the perfect place for the whole family. There are amazing eateries along Muizenberg, whether you are looking for quick grab or a lovely sit down meal you will find it. Muizenberg is the home for a kite festival that takes place every year. A drive towards Muizenberg is very therapeutic. There are traders selling all sorts of things.... More

Muizenburg is a Surfers paradise and is know for early morning surfers walking the beach front with their boards waiting for the waves to come in. Beautiful stretch of beach too, and a nice spot to end off a surf is at any of the quaint restaurants or bars on the beach front.

A long white stretch of perfect beach suitable for winter & summer enjoyment. A favorite beginners "surf" beach with many surfing shops selling / hiring everything you need for your day on the waves. Surfing instruction also available locally. Easy to reach both by car & by train. Plenty of coffee shops / restaurants in the vicinity. Adequate free car... More

Cool white sandy beach with colourful beach huts and lots of watersports to watch or participate in. While we were there, several kite surfers were displaying their abilities but there appear to be other things to do judging by the large surf shop on the road overlooking the beach. Muizenberg is a funky area with a slightly hippy vibe and... More
