It's a magnificent beach

Beautiful beach within easy reach especially by local commuter train. For safety lifeguards always on the lookout

Muizenberg is hip and funky with a few rough edges just as all other places that are up and coming I would go back in a heartbeat

A huge coast with white sand dunes. A water sport lover paradise. Very close to Cape Town and on the way to the Garden Route

While the beach was crowded this time of the year... The water was perfect for surfing. We went surfing with Surf shack and they were awesome.

Today we took the train from Cape Town to Simon's Town the journey on the edge of the sea is very picturesque with some stunning landscapes. On the way back we jumped off at St James and walked to Muizenberg (there is a path along the sea front) and enjoyed a lovely lunch in town. We sat and watched the... More

Travelers to Cape Town should beware that there really is no decent swimming beach in this city despite all the marketing

Quite junky, a big disappointment. Run down strip of shops, sketchy people hanging about. Go to Camps Bay instead.

I am very fortunate to be able to visit Muizenberg beach whenever I like as live not even 10KM's away. Muizenberg does have it's pros and cons though. During peak season this beach will get very crowded. You can find more peace more towards the east end of the beach however, this is definitely one of those beaches in Cape... More

Very beautiful stretch of beach with breathtaking scenery. Surrounded by various restaurants and interesting shops. Very friendly staff at info centre. The shark siren went off while I was there and everyone had to evacuate the water. I was told that this is quite common here. Definitely a must-visit if in the area.
