What a huge beach and miles of sand! But do not be fooled there are dharks in the bay snd plenty of jaelly fish washed up on the beach and very unfortunately dogs leaving unwanted mess becsuse owners let them! If you can overlook these things you can enjoy a bracing walk and some fine surf. The weather will determin... More

Travelers to Cape Town should beware that there really is no decent swimming beach in this city despite all the marketing

Quite junky, a big disappointment. Run down strip of shops, sketchy people hanging about. Go to Camps Bay instead.

I am very fortunate to be able to visit Muizenberg beach whenever I like as live not even 10KM's away. Muizenberg does have it's pros and cons though. During peak season this beach will get very crowded. You can find more peace more towards the east end of the beach however, this is definitely one of those beaches in Cape... More

Very beautiful stretch of beach with breathtaking scenery. Surrounded by various restaurants and interesting shops. Very friendly staff at info centre. The shark siren went off while I was there and everyone had to evacuate the water. I was told that this is quite common here. Definitely a must-visit if in the area.

This is a beautiful beach, and from the looks of it, a surfers paradise. For a family, it was a bit too windy (the fine sand stung bare skin and eyes). However, there are a few lovely playgrounds in behind the walkway that were great for little kids. I loved the scenery and the colorful dive- shacks. A gorgeous place!

If you want to take a break from the city and enjoy some swim / surf, this is the place to be. Also a perfect stopover while on trip to Cape of Good Hope. Make sure to take the first class train from Simon' Town Train Station and enjoy the ride along the coast, this could be the best 12... More

The sea was too cold but the beach was nice and the surfers' houses on it was really nice! We were there to see the International Kite Festival. Was nice too!

On a perfect weather and day this is the place to be in Cape Town. The water and waves are impressive and so is the whole atmosphere to this beach. If you’re a surfer fanatic then this is the place to be. They also provide surfing lessons too. Restaurants and small shops around make for the entertainment quotient. Kayaking is... More

Very nice and clean waves on some days. There is a surfshop & BnB nearby. There is a shark spotting system for some extra safety (and even a net a few hundred meters out). As for other Activities there are some restaurants and Cafes, other than that you cant do that much, most people (especially tourists) go there just for... More
