situated in the university-area te former private home of Irma Stern, acclaimed international artist, is nowadays her museum, decorated and furnished the way she used to live and work. there are numerous works of her to be seen and regular exhibitions of young contemporary artist. her garden is worth to stroll along - just adorable!

The Irma Stern museum is an art gallery that all South Africans can be proud of. Visit the home of Irma Stern's work as well as a few other pieces. Near to UCT and other colleges makes it a convenient learning center. My parents came with me at the time and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent use of upper gallery space and curation. Plus the opportunity to visit the museum itself which allows a glimpse into Irma Sterns life and surroundings.

The museum is in the artist's original home. A wide variety of her art is on display. The staff at the museum is very very friendly ! They also give one a short historic overview of the artists life. Any art lover must stop in Cape Town to see this collection.

Each time I visit this museum I come away with decor ideas I want to try at home. You can enjoy some examples of Irma Stern's artworks but even better is the chance to experience her collections of artifacts from around the world, her studio which would inspire anyone to pick up a paintbrush and her peaceful garden.

I had not realized how interesting I would find the Meuseum as I am far from an authority on her work.

A group of us visited quite a few years ago and I remember really enjoying the many forms of expression Irma Stern had contributed. Very special and worth a visit most definitely!

Irma Stern was a great artist and the fact that the museum or gallery is at her house, makes viewing so much enjoyable - the fact that there are also arts for the visually impaired is absolutely unique - her work is certainly something to be seen,
