The beach is very nice , not overly busy and the Marina resturant had a great lunch for the price. Enjoyed the bird sanctuary.

A cab drive from CPT city centre via Kirstenbosch and return via Hout Bay was reasonably priced R 500 for two people. Money well spent! Could add also a visit to a winery nearby if needed to the same trip.

We drove here and walked through the harbour area. We ate the freshest fried calamari we have ever had from one of the little booths in the harbour, delicious. We also took the boat out to Seal Island - a great place to see seals in their natural habitat. You don't have to pay for your parking in the carp... More

The drive up Chapmans Peak that will take you through and then above Hout Bay is worth it on a sunny day. Astounding views down into the bay. Nature, fresh air and photo opportunities abound
