quiet little fishing port

We got off the red bus for 30 minutes at most but got the whole life of this little fishing port. We saw a couple of otters there.

We stayed there for an evening and enjoyed every moment of it. Sitting by the beach made me feel so relaxed and happy. Although the wind was so cold that it chilled my bones for 2-3 days... Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to visit this nice town again :)

Very picturesque bay not far from Cape Town. A pleasant drive and beautiful vistas. Take a picnic and enjoy the scenery.

A great place for a coffee stop. Lots of coffee shops. A craft market and a cute seal on the quay. Locals gutting fish remember to pay them for photography.

Apart from some strange "sea" smells! What amazing place/view/heritage! Always enjoy visiting and always find new beautiful sights to see! A stroll on the beach, traditional fish and chips, the crafts market and indoor market...all super features and all worth a visit!

When we got there, the weather was truly weird. Fantastic color on the near waters, and grey dark skies hiding the other side of the bay. The bonus were the cute sea lions who paid a visit and ate some fish from a local's mouth.

Nice drive from Cape Town, fun to see the local fishing trade. Can stop on the way to several other places of interest.

Small town with beautiful view of Atlantic Ocean on one side and Table Mountain Range on other side. Laid back atmosphere. Ideal place to relax and spend a day.

Hout Bay is a beautiful place. Walk along the sand, the wind across the ocean and a boat ride to the small Seal island was memorable. This place is very good for South African souvenirs, you can bargain to bring down the prices. The same souvenirs at other established shops (eg: ones at V&A waterfront) would cost much much more.
