After driving across Chapman's Peak we saw this awe inspiring view. We stopped at Mariner's Wharf for some amazing sea food and a drink as the sun went down. We returned to the beach the next day and just hung out and enjoyed the sun and the sights. The parking lot was a little difficult to find due to construction... More

Good food to be had here, unusual shops and a beautiful beach. Watch seals playing in the harbour. There is also an excellent craft market over the weekend. *****fish and chips

Amazing views, with good sea food at Mariners wharf. Do not miss the photo opportunities. The Flea market and the local crowd add to the quaintness .

Hout Bay which is near Cape Town is the point from where one can take a boat trip to see the seals. The antique and handicrafts for sale by the locals as well as having a fish and chips at the restaurant are two things not to be missed.

Hout Bay has developed so much these past years, great market on the weekends by the harbour, great restaurants available with Kitima for an amazing thai food experience, Massimo' for great pizzas, Ragafellows for divine burgers. Chapman's Peak drive with its breath-taking view! For the kids world of birds, where you can walk into a cage with little monkeys coming... More

Hout Bay is a pretty beach with nice restaurants. It is more quiet than many of the other popular beaches and is worth a visit.

Only thing to recommend Hout Bay is its proximity to Chapman's Peak. The Saturday and Sunday markets are fun, but the population is mainly made up of retirees from all corners of the world. Not a place I would like to live in.

You must visit, the food is excellent as is the scenery, keep your eyes out for seals if you are into photography, they make excellent subjects!

This is a beautiful harbour town, twenty minutes outside Cape Town. It has a beautiful coastal road on either side with plenty lookout points and picnic spots. The harbour has a big selection of restaurants and from fish and chips to fine dining. On weekends the Hout Bay market is not to be missed, there are some seriously skillful talent... More
