This was one of the Capetown stops on our S. African tour. It was interesting to see the history of diamond mining in South Africa and the diamonds on display were beautiful! After the tour, we (of course) went into the showroom to see the jewelry and have a complimentary glass of wine. Make no mistake about it... it was... More

A short walk from the waterfront and a pleasant visit. You get a glass of wine, and the usual sales pitch at the end, but not a hard sell.

This tour gives you the history of the diamond mining in South Africa. You see the whole process from rough diamond to a gleaming gem. The staff are all very knowledgable and helpful. If you are interested in diamonds it's worth a visit.

My husband and I had visited this attraction before but this time we were a group of six. The tour is extremely interesting and the history of diamond mining was well explained. There were free glasses of wine, water and juice and the opportunity to purchase items at the end of the tour. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful

Based in the clock tower at the Waterfront. (Easy to find) A short and sweet tour of how diamonds are manufactured and where they come from. The staff are very professional and look so smart, I booked via email but we were running late after lunch, they gladly accommodated us. It's very interesting and interactive, so you can ask questions.... More

Very professional and friendly staff was leading us through the exhibtion of the diamonds. The process from checking the rough diamonds for inclusions to cutting to polishing was explained and illustrated. Unfortunately we visited museum during a public holiday when the workers were off. Otherwise we could have seen the actual processes of cutting the diamonds and polishing. You could... More

Walk through, air conditioned lasting 30 minutes. Facility also serves as factory for commercial sales. History of Cape Town area mine and men who influenced Cape Town. Description of diamond grading and history of cutting with current methods seen in practice. Show room at end of tour interesting. No cost to us.

Went to the diamond museum, very interesting the information about the diamonds and history of the stones, not a very big museum though it was big enough, recommend going earlier during the day as you see the factory on way to jewellery shop. Went there there late in the day.

You can find a coupon and its free. I don't think I would of been happy if I paid for it but it was a nice free attraction. Our lady was very knowledgeable and it was fun to talk to a local. Of course the main goal is they want you to buy diamonds. But she did give us juice... More
