Come on a Saturday Morning and join the masses for food and shopping stalls at the Old Biscuit Mill. Great atmosphere, great food, quirky stalls and shops. However, it has become so popular, that you might want to go somewhere else on a Saturday morning for the food (e.g. one of the numerous markets in the area, e.g. Hout Bay... More

One can buy a good part of the weekly shopping here, ranging from cheeses, bread, veg, flowers - the proverbial neighbourhood market. Be there early

Well done and expanded since my last visit. Had a wonderful lunch outside of the patio in a wonderful Italian restaurant after finding out the Test Kitchen was fully booked for the day. Cute shops with local crafts and an excellent wine merchant with delicious recommendations.

We went here twice on a saturday and it is really cool. The best part is all the food on offer and just hanging out and having a couple drinks. They also have shops selling all sorts. Recommend taking a taxi as we did walk back once but was a little dodgy by the train station.

The food offerings on a Saturday market days are amazing. You can find anything you can imagine that is good and fattening.

Eat at Pot Luck (book miles in advance). Absolutely stunning and amazing food; really knowledgeable staff; great wines; buzzy atmosphere

A really really nice place but it can get very busy. Also you get lots of hassle from people just outside the venue. They should improve the security. The parking is also a pain.

The good news is, Neighbourgoods Market at the Old Biscuit Mill is the ONLY place you'll want to be in Cape Town on Saturday mornings. The bad news is, everyone else will be there too. It's totally worth swimming through the sea of humanity to score some of the tastiest treats in town. Coffee from Origin will start things off... More

It's a great place to go on a Saturday when the wonderful food market is open, plus all the shops. We went again for dinner one evening and were told the shops would be open until 7, but once there, we discovered they had all closed at four! It's a great shame not to stay open as so much extra... A fun and vibey place to visit with a variety of different and good stalls with quality foods...but some vendors are really over charging for their goods, capitalising on the atmosphere and your experience.
