Taking the Red and Blue bus tours was the perfect introduction to Cape Town! We had not yet rented a car and yet wanted to see the city and get familiar with the layout. The busses gave us the chance to see the sights without worrying about driving. We actually stayed on the bus for the entire route before getting... More

As resident Capetonians, we often see the bus passing by. We've been talking about doing this tour for a long time, and eventually got round to it. It was absolutely fantastic, and excellent value for money. It's just so good to sit back and let somebody else worry about the parking, not to talk about the traffic coming down Signal... More

We were surprised how much we enjoyed the tour - and it was surprisingly cheap. About 2 hours for the full circuit and stopping off points like the wine tasting circuit (a separate, but free, bus), Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (didn't get off this time but have been before and certainly worth a visit) and various places along the coast, then... This is a very good tour experience and highly recommended; useful flexibility with the hop-on-hop-off arrangement; also a good way to get to various attractions - Table Mountain cableway station, Camps Bay, etc

It was wonderful to be a tourist in a city we thought we knew so well. It was great to see through the eyes of the tourist and we saw things in a new light. We also saw things we would never have seen had we been on a self-drive tour.

If you find yourself in Cape Town and wish to see the City please consider a 2 day ticket for the open top bus at a cost of R250. This covers a red route trip with a shorter yellow route attached, plus a Blue route trip visitng the more outlying areas with a purple link to the Constantia wine tours.... More
