Our friends didn't have time for a proper safari so we went to Inverdoorn for the day. What's great is that you can see a ton of animals in a short amount of time, so if you don't have the patience, time or stomach for a true safari, this is a good option. Just don't expect the animals to be... More

Did a midweek one-night stay at Inverdoorn. This was our first safari experience of any kind, having chosen Inverdoorn partly on recommendation, and partly having eliminated the others. Kruger is too far from Cape Town, Aquila we were told and read was more zoo-like. In my opinion having now visited Inverdoorn, it fully met our expectations. Firstly a safari, by... More

My husband and I took the overnight safari package. We had a very friendly driver to pick us up from Cape town. When we arrived, a nice lady welcame us with beverage. We stayed in the guest house, which was in reasonable size and condition. There was a nice swimming pool area nearby which was perfect for sun bathing. The... More

We booked this through Afruka Eco tours and our guide Quenton was an absolute star. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Capetown to get there and out safari started as soon as we lost the mainstream traffic where our guide pointed out various wild life. The last 15/20km is not a proper road, just a rocky service road and... More

The drive to the reserve was as exciting as the safari experience, especially the last stretch. For a Swedish driver it was a new experience driving on a dirt road! Although harrowing, it was taken as part of the whole exciting experience. The chalet was lovely - the service during meals was very good too as was the food. The... More

Can't say enough good things about this place! Our guide, Mariska, was amazing, driving us through the park and tracking down all the animals. She was well informed about their habits and shared a lot of information about the preserve. Lunch was amazing!

It took us 2,5 hours from CT to get there. Be aware , the last 15km is not a proper road, just a rocky service road. You can drive only with 60-70km/h. You can get a pick as well for extra charges. The welcome drink is a coffee or some juices before the drive. Kids under 4 not allowed to... More

Unfortunately our stay at Inverdoon was below our expectations. We stayed for the overnight safari and our chalet (and the others next to ours) did not have water for the entire time! We couldn't shower for the entire stay, nor flush the toilet. We only got 2 bottles of water to brush our teeth. The food was also quite disappointing,... More

Being situated on a semi-arid area comes with some inherent difficulties. The water supply we get from the nearby mountain burst and were fixed within 24hours. We do apologise for the inconvenience and our staff did their best to accommodate while resolving this situation. We also apologize for the fact that the food did not meet your expectation as seen... We booked the trip to an agency in camps bay. A relly nice guy Faruk takes us from our place in cape town and got us there. At the place we got into some land rovers and start going from place to place. What I think is that this safari experience is more like a zoo, you ain't got to... More

Thank you for the feedback We strive to provide guests with a memorable safari experience and take all complaints and criticism seriously in an effort to improve our standards. We apologize that we didn’t meet your expected safari idea. At a game reserve, rangers cannot predict the animal’s behaviour and therefore some day’s animals will go into hiding, and there... More

I love my travel karma. Inverdoorn can accommodate up to 70 guests - but the four of us were lucky to share it only with four more people for the night we stayed there. I hardly know where to begin to describe it. Just driving there gives you a taste of the vastness of this country. The lodge is kept... More
