My wife and I went to Inverdoorn for a day trip, so the review doesn't reflect the accommodation etc. As a day out we found it to be fantastic. We were picked up from Capetown early morning for the 2+hour drive, the guy driving (sorry, I forgot his name) was really good, answering questions we might have. There is audio... More

The food was disgusting and cold. The room was dirty and had many bugs inside, both dead and alive. The staff was rude and not helpful. The actual safari was a waste of time and the animals we were promised to see, we didn't.

Thank you for choosing Inverdoorn as your Safari destination. We addressed your other review on our Safari page. We are glad to address your complaint here too. All our staff are trained to tend to excellence while welcoming guests. We are very surprised you found them “rude and not helpful”. This is not the Inverdoorn spirit and you seemed to... More

We booked this tour through Afruka, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Our tour guide, Quinton, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. He is an incredibly knowledgeable guide who taught us all about Cape Town history during our ride to the game reserve. The day safari with the reserve was lots of fun.... More

We spent 24 hours at this reserve and had the most amazing time. Our game drive driver Ngoni was exceptionally knowledgeable about all animals not just the animals in the park he was able to discuss everything from the terrain to very in-depth knowledge about the animals the animals of South Africa. The food in the evening was amazing with... More

Inverdoorn is a game reserve that is only 2 1/2 hours from Cape Town (2 hours if Alan is driving!). It is one of only two this close if you are staying in Cape Town. As we had never before experienced a safari we enjoyed our day here. We saw zebras, giraffes and many types of antelope roaming wild. Additionally... More

We did tequila and inverdoorn I loved inverdoorn as its a lot less touristy as further from cape town the guides also have more time to talk and there are more animals as its bigger also at dinner the cheetahs will walk past!!! The accommodation is comfy and beautiful views if you have time get a helicopter flight in

Animals were few and drivers were nice. Food was ok, NOT necessary to stay overnite, the one daytrip would be fine. Reserve management is not always in sync with concierges or sellers of their pacakages

We booked two nights in Inverndoorn and were a bit disappointed (I have done a Kenyan safari before) because after doing a safari, Inverndoorn feels a bit more like a big zoo. Aside from that, the service was very good, our ranger gave us a lot of information about the reserve and the animals at the reserve, food was also... More

Our friends didn't have time for a proper safari so we went to Inverdoorn for the day. What's great is that you can see a ton of animals in a short amount of time, so if you don't have the patience, time or stomach for a true safari, this is a good option. Just don't expect the animals to be... More

Did a midweek one-night stay at Inverdoorn. This was our first safari experience of any kind, having chosen Inverdoorn partly on recommendation, and partly having eliminated the others. Kruger is too far from Cape Town, Aquila we were told and read was more zoo-like. In my opinion having now visited Inverdoorn, it fully met our expectations. Firstly a safari, by... More
