So we were in South Africa so I thought we HAVE to go to an African Safari! What's the point of going to Africa if you're not going to! I thought it was expensive, but I enjoyed seeing the animals up close especially the lions, the rhino and the cheetah. There was not much food options during lunch, but there... More

We visited Inverdoorn for one night in May. Wow, what a surprise! Both the experience and the service far exceeded my expectations. The game reserve is very large and was much more than a glorified zoo. It may not be Kruger, NP, but it was a really nice experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The standard chalet... More

Loved every minute of it! The guide was polite and very detailed about explaining about the animals and the game reserve. 4-wheel drive was safe and secure and more importantly, we got up really close to the animals in their habitat without disturbing them very much.

As others have said, Inverdoorn is a couple of hours outside of Cape Town and well worth the drive. We booked the Ambassador Suite, which was amazing! A separate, private cabin unlike anything I've ever experienced. There were baby white rhinos outside the door in a large pen. The handler came out and brought some food so we were able... More

We went in the middle of summer (Jan 2014), and it was very hot (40c+) and dry. Unless you are staying there, I thoroughly recommend taking the time to drive out of Cape Town to visit for the day safari - be warned its a 2-3 hour drive with the last 30mins on a light gravel road. Very professional, well... More

This place takes around 2 hours to get to from central Cape Town but it is well worth the travelling. We saw all the 'Big 5' and walked with the Giraffes. Lunch was nice and staff were very friendly and knowledgable.

We did a day-trip in early February and it was pretty mixed in terms of good and bad parts of the experience. We were picked up in Cape Town and driven to Inverdoorn. The driver was great, courteous, but even before that I was nervous. Communication after booking was spotty at best. Despite submitting a request months before I heard... More

By far the best safari park near to Cape Town. The highlight being the cheetah conservation project and the ability to get close up to a cheetah during a talk on the conservation project. The staff are supper friendly and could not do more to make your stay a special one. We left with a lifetime of memories, hundreds of... More

Yes, Inverdoorn can be reached in 2½ hours from Cape Town. We left downtown at 7, stopped in Ceres for 10 minutes and arrived at Inverdoorn 9:40. Under ideal conditions: Our driver knew the way, traffic was light and the gravel road on the last 20 km was dry. Due to the considerable distance from Cape Town, Inverdoorn receives much... More

Great fun, brilliant accommodation. Not the best Safari I've been on but the Guides are knowledgable and very friendly. The Chalets are beautiful with stunning views of the reserve and mountains. Food was terrific and Safe were brilliant.
