I had a couple of days in Cape Town and Margaret was very helpful in arranging a walk up table mountain. The pick up was very smooth and despite the wind (meaning we had to walk down as the Cable Car was closed) it was a great morning's walk. Margaret was informative and interesting and kept the group at a... More

My first trip to Cape Town was in March to visit my daughter who is studying at UCT. she had already made the climb and knew that I would enjoy it. I had a delightful albeit challengIng hike up with Margaret and an Austrian couple. the route we took was pretty direct and we climbed straight up for a few... More

I found Table mountain walks here on tripadvisor, and it had such good recommendations. The pick up was sharp on time, and we startet the walk early. I choosed Kasteelspoort via Echo Valley, Maclears Beacon to Cableway: full day - 6 hours (7 hours). I really enjoyed it, Since we start early on the day, you will still have time... More

After many visits of Cape Town we decide that is time for walk up to Table Mountain. My son has 6 yrs and he has experience from Czech/Slovakia/Austria mountain walk trips. Many comnents about TM walk say that age 8-10 is fine for this trip(I must agree-for non trained children definetly!). We started 07:00 and because some steps are huge... More

My husband and I did the full day hike up Table Mountain with Margaret and had an absolutely fantastic day. Organising the trip by email was very easy, and Margaret picked us up and dropped us back at our hotel and provided a picnic lunch and water. We really appreciated how knowledgable Margaret is as she pointed out birds and... More

I was in Cape Town for business in September 2013 and was fortunate enough to squeeze in some free days too. Being an outdoors person I wanted to experience the South African nature and booked two hikes from Table Mountain Walks with a colleague: the full day Cape Point Reserve hike and a half day PlatteKlip Gorge (Table Mountain) hike.... Thank you so much for the great experience I could have with my son (11 yrs) climbing Table Mountain. As it was the first hike for my son ever I was glad that Pietro was there to guide us. The pick-up from the hotel was more than a bonus. At first I thought the trip could not go through due... More

My husband and I were in Cape Town for the 1st stop of our honeymoon and travels throughout South and Eastern Africa. We were very excited to visit Cape Town and all that this fabulous city has to offer. One of the highlights we were told not to miss was a trip up Table Mountain. Prior to our arrival, we... More

We did the full day hike. We had a fabulous day, weather was great so we had amazing views. Our guide was Pietro, who knew all the good spots for taking photographs and provided a delicious lunch of sandwiches and fruit. Pietro picked us up at out hotel at 7am. The hike probably took about 6 hours but wasn't too... More

Margaret, who normally accompanies clients to the top of table mountain was not able to guide us on the day that we were due to hike Table Mountain, but she kindly provided an alternative guide, Pietro, and ensured that our leisure plans were not affected. Pietro was absolutely lovely, and had a great insight into each individual member of the... More
