Wow the promenade is fanstatic with its white sandy beach and grass verge, suitable to both types of people who love the sand and the ones that dont. accrosss the road you have an array of restaurants and supurb hotels, hop on and hop off bus stops outside Bay Hotel for pick up and drop off. Wonderful beach to while... More

We stopped for brunch on our hop on - hop off bus tour. It was great for a couple of hours, particularly as the rest of Cape Town was caught in high winds. We are not beach holiday people, so it didn't hold long term interest for us, but worth a visit

This is one of the beaches that is always sheltered from the wind - which is the bomb in CT. Camps Bay has the best vibe, food places just across the road - only thing is, is that the water is super cold...:)

Having spent almost a week in Cape Town chasing sunset I can categorically confirm that Camps Bay Beach is the best place for sunset drinks - known by all Capetonians as "sundowners". We tried several spots including UMI, as well as Cafe Caprice which was our favorite although it was a little more run down, but so much more bohemian... More

Charming and awesome are the words to describe this place. Hop on the Red bus in Cape Town and hop off here for lunch and a glass of superb South African wine. The beach is across the street from many restaurants and invites you to walk the promenade and wander down to the sea to dip your toes into the... More

I love Camps Bay, been several times and it is very nice indeed. To say it is the 25th best beach in the world is utter nonsense however! It's pretty, nice sand etc but not at all amazing, it is small, on a busy road and there are many many better beaches n the world! And of course IT IS... More

One of the great beaches of the world with a view of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and the Twelve Apostles mountains. However, remember this is the cold side of the Cape Peninsula so the water can be chilly unless it is mid-summer.

Safe and well patrolled beach. Beautiful sand, great sunrise and sunset viewing. Early morning not too busy, but during the day pretty congested. Right off the main drag with easy access.
