Arguably the most beautiful drive in the world. Take the time out to meander up the mountain and enjoy the spectacular views. It's majestic and magnificent and the feats of engineering in designing the road are a marvel. If you're in Cape Town you have to do it.

Chapman's Peak Drive connects Hout Bay to the Southern Peninsula. Recently renovated, it is now a superbly surfaced toll road, with many scenic lay bys. Photogenic views of Hout Bay and Long Beach. Excellent for cycling, hiking, jogging, especially from the Hout Bay side. Cape Town and the Peninsula make for excellent road trips. Dining, swimming, accommodation options abound. Best... More

Only saw a little bit of this drive as most of it was closed. What was visible looked great but I understand from the locals the road is way too often closed due to land slides so be aware, you might not get to see it properly either.

This winding toll road from Noordhoek to Hout Bay is one of the most filmed stretches of road in the world....drive it or cycle it, and you'll know why! Stunning views of the Atlantic and Hout Bay stretch under you. Do check to make sure it's open -- sometimes the road is closed due to landslides. Best time to drive... More

The best time to visit this place is on Sundays as it's the least busy time, traffic wise! A rewarding scenic drive with places to stop for a picnic! So take a basket with you! There are toll gates on this drive so take some cash with you!

Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. Stunning views. There is a toll and need to pay a small fee but the drive is worth for it. Lovely place and i would like to visit again if God willing.

This drive, starting from Cape Town, then further over the M6 (NOT M62), is absolute wonderful! We did it when the weather was fabulou, when it was misty, when it was rainy, it was always beautiful, because the coast is just beautiful and for taking photographs absolutely a must! Try it very early in the morning, or towards sunset, either... More
