The Valley of Waves is the central feature of the Lost City at Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon. When waves are not generated, a bobbing cycle is generated in a diamond pattern.  All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. Day visitors pay an entrance fee to the park.

Not our first time. Kids had so much fun. Can't fault it. Umbrellas and towels can be rented. If you go early you could get a thatched shaded spot. They also have a kiddies slide area. Kids have to be 1.2m and taller to go on the bigger water slides. Great place. No food or alcohol allowed on the site.... More

My husband and cousin wanted to body-surf so we headed for the wave pool. I sat watching from the shade of a nearby tree as they waited - and waited - and waited for the waves. Finally the alarm signalling the waves sounded, and the swells built up and came rushing through the pool. They enjoyed catching one or two... More

From the entrance right to settling down to relax on the beach we had an awesome time. The waves had all of us grown ups and adults alike squealing like big children with delight! This is definitely a family outing. Caution though. In the summer months the artificial sand is HOT. My plastic sandals almost melted and my feet were... More

Had a great time in the pool with the waves which come every few minutes very exciting and you can ride the waves thrilling. Lovely warm pool for relaxing also enjoyed the lovely food and drink at one of the few watering holes.

The Valley of Waves has always been the highlight of a visit to Sun City. However, the last visit was very disappointing. There are very long queues for every slide (at least 30 minutes wait per slide) and the water is dirty. The most disappointing was the changing rooms – half of the toilets were not flushing, causing a terrible... More

Nice unnatural sea waves and other water sports for all age groups. You can kill half a day with a good company.

A great day out, brilliant slides that you have to go on! Relaxed atmosphere with good bars and food options! The only slight criticism was a lack of loungers, they only have weird "back chairs" that you lean against, slightly uncomfortable but only minor moan! All in all..... Fantastic

My only gripe was the food at the food factory. They sell 12 items and ran out of 1 of them a margarita pizza. My husband had the chicken wings which were raw inside. They had one person serving at the front and 6 people behind in the kitchen. Poorly managed, and poor service and even worse food.
